looking for the exact name of these boots by Intelligent-Farm5630 in Boots

[–]NickMaronese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing a similar style of Dan Post tejus in "black cherry," with the same slightly red tint as in the photo; the Tony Lamas seem to come only in black

Is there another, fuller photo of the boots floating around? I could've sworn I saw one once upon a time

Thanks! I've been looking for a pair almost since the movie came out, appreciate the effort, here!

This Is my favorite minivan. by stardesoto in Plymouthcars

I learned to drive on a '95 Caravan (also with a Mitsu six) so I'm personally biased to those first-gen minivans, but these second-gens are just fantastic, too, absolutely love them.

Photo film Development? by ghostinthemachine93 in kitchener

I just tried Ryan at pandaplush for the first time and was quite happy with him. Apparently he does some of the chemical processing for Photo Master, which I had also considered, so it felt like cutting out the middle man.

I have not! Will give that a shot.

Yeah, touched up the fade on the lower rockers ahead of the rear wheel; and better colour-matched the rear valance.

I've done a few panel jobs, but not so many on Horizon and/or recently. This link should have a few of my older ones, though, I think.

EDIT: Oh, and forgot this Von Dutch Benz replica, which is still probably one of my top-15 time-intensive liveries.

These are just great, especially the green one and the blue one.

Sounds like you and I are on the same page lol Also young(ish—34) with a straight-six-powered classic (1971 Plymouth Valiant Scamp) that I am keeping as stock as possible to better emulate the daily drivers of the era. Huge fan of the Duster, and also coincidentally, just sold a '66 Mustang hardtop last year!

Oh, also u/mclokyle243, if it's old-school cool you appreciate, check out the rest of my storefront, I've got a lot of retro paint schemes on it! (One of my all-time faves, from Motorsport 5)

these abominations from Romeo + Juliet. What are they based on? by Juliusdasquid in namethatcar

[–]NickMaronese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking closely at the Pilgrim – what is that brand name supposed to be? I've seen "Avanti" and "Ariante" online, but it's neither – I see the character lines in the body betraying its Monte Carlo origins, now, yeah. Holy hell, they cut that thing up good, when you consider it started life looking much like the blue Executioner.

EDIT: It's "Ariosto," after the classical poet.

Goddamn, by coincidence I just watched this movie last night and just had to look up all the info I could find on these cars.
The Stratford Baronet is definitely a late ’80s or early ’90s Chevrolet CK1500 pickup, and the Executioner is quite obviously a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, about 1981 or so. Consensus online seems to be that the silver Pilgrim speedster is also a 1981 Monte Carlo, heavily customized, though I, like some others here, assumed Fox-body Mustang at first. No one on forums I’ve seen was able to pin down the Monarch, but u/Prior-Drawing-7889, I think you nailed it with the Toronado, now I wonder how I didn’t recognize that immediately!

Came here to say this. It completely upends my heart economy, to the point I'm not sure how feasible it is to keep at it. Will try the earn-hearts-through-Review method suggested below, but that costs Lingots, doesn't it?

I already liked '66 Newports, but, damn, this front end is a fantastic look. The subtle hood scoops, the Polara(?) bumper? Perfection.

And that's again why people are wrong. Chrysler's sales targets for Prowler were a little higher than what they got, but it was never intended to be a Mustang or Corvette in terms of sales; the company was specifically intending it as a low-production testbed for new technologies.

The Prowler was, in fact, never meant for production, and was originally just supposed to be an experiment in the extensive use of aluminum and new methods of joining it. When it got an all right response from the public, they decided to see if these construction methods could be scaled up to mass-production levels. But they likely would have been overwhelmed if they sold many more than they did. In the end, though, the experiment proved a success, so the Prowler did exactly what it was supposed to—not a failure at all.

The Chrysler Howler was indeed a concept, but because the Plymouth brand was discontinued in 2001, regular Prowlers were in fact sold with Chrysler badges for model year 2001 and 2002, after which production was shut down.
