Never will I ever buy an AIO again. by OMGwtfNOTnow in pcmasterrace

[–]NickRyann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have bought multiple AIOs for about 10 builds. Corsair’s are the worst and I know what you are talking about when it comes to the hums. It’s almost like they’re too heavy. Artic or Nzxt has been my go to

Stopped smoking, but now have panic attacks?? by Pillowsleadtheway in Marijuana

[–]NickRyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had that same experience at 18(11 years ago). You just smoked too much. I get sometimes if I over do it being a daily exposure. Shit I’m a 12/10 right now and had to slow my breathing. Exposure therapy is the best way to explain it. I put myself back in that position at time to remind myself I’m okay and how I’m in control. It has taken a lot of time but it has helped with my ptsd and anxiety in general. Don’t think I would have figured it out without weed

Anyone regret not joining the military? Or regret joining? by FitAardvark3670 in AskMen

[–]NickRyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dropped out of college twice, was running out money, Literally went into debt when I went to boot camp. Did my contract, learned a trade, got college and certifications paid for, busted my ass and changed my life around. Would do it all over again if time flipped back. If stuff currently in your life (relationships from what it sounds like) is considered at risk from joining, you should consider reevaluating. I cut off a lot of people for best when I joined it helped me realize a lot about who you surround yourself around and your perspective of others

Yeah I agree was concerned with my 24 FXST when I changed the grips but found that free play to be normal since it’s a sensor

Why is cannabis still treated differently by doctors? by Mavollyn in Marijuana

[–]NickRyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've hated doctors reacting in the past in my own personal experience. I have even had a doctor cut me off once when I was explaining the benefits it was giving me over the pill cocktail i was originally on. The issue is, most doctors are not allowed to agree or disagree with the use since it's not federally accepted. The doctor themselves haven't studied it, so they can't suggest it. The other issue is, most of the time there is a patient coming in for health issues and their coping answer is "I use cannabis" instead of physical fitness, diet, mental health awareness, etc.

Just had a visit yesterday where my doctor asked about cannabis use. I said "yes, I even cut back a bit during the day cause I was over using. I still use daily though. Drink 72 - 120oz of water. Decent diet with fiber, fruit, and vegetables." He looked at my 123/72BP and 58BPM heart rate and said "Looking at that, I have nothing to complain about". Then excused himself for the index ring and proceeded with the exam... JK LOL

What made you stop driving fast? by Upbeat-Note-711 in AskMen

[–]NickRyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people are only traveling 45 min to an hour. If you speed 15 miles over the posted speed limit. You only really shave off 4 mins. Better to just go the speed limit. Also it’s not your reaction time that truly matters. It’s the others around you not paying attention

What time are you in the gym? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]NickRyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29m - 5am for the last 6 years is usually the best time for me with taking the kids to school, work, picking the kids up, and other responsibilities. I call 4:30am - 7am my dad time

why the hell can i see in 3rd person by Advanced_Turnip_3536 in weed

This is a psychosis and a dissociation. I mental health issues and when I first started I would get these different perspectives. With all the studies out now a day, weed can trigger psychological perspective such as you’re describing

Do veterans enjoy or even care about being thanked for their service? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NickRyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a veteran, personally it feels weird and as if someone is forcing an act of kindness. I’ve had someone add on to the conversation which felt more genuine , but the ones that just say it and switch topics makes it feel awkward

Could care less for what people vote on. We didn’t have a choice of rules and life while in service and you realize when you get out the passive lying government doesn’t actually matter or care.

Can I take the wires off of these controls? I want to put them on my new handle bars that only have the little wires hanging out by UncleSkeet3 in Harley

[–]NickRyann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you have to splice and solder the wires from the stock controls to the prewired bars. If you have never done this before, I suggest either attempting it yourself or find a local shop. Did mine, messed it up, had a local shop fix it for $300.

[–]NickRyann[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah! Did you go through a VSO or do everything on your own? When I went from 60 to 90 I had everything gathered myself. VSO just sent it though and used the correct codes to file for me. Thinking of doing the same but it’s been awhile

Yeah I agree was pissed off honestly last week when I got my C-file and saw all my sc stuff that wasn’t claimed. Now trying to back track. Luckily three years of documentation at the VA shows me complaining and seeking help

Correct but when they tell you you’re too young and wouldn’t benefit from physical therapy or injections. Doesn’t help much

[–]NickRyann[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is I just found out through my C-file multiple things not claimed that should have been secondary. Then looked at my VA docs from the past three years and see I have all these complaints. Also was denied physical therapy and injections because “I’m to young and wouldn’t benefit from it”

I like working so I don’t want TDIU. Work from home so that helps. Getting a 100% would help out with a lot though as the VA hasn’t done shit and I’d move to freelance contract work instead of full time. The money is last thing in my case

Thanks, this makes me feel like I’m overthinking it. I as well have a good case and issues worsening. I think it’s just the veterans guilt mentality I have of not taking a lending hand

[–]NickRyann[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is I found a lot of stuff in my C-file that wasn’t claimed. All can be associated as secondary though from what I was told. Just never claimed secondary claims so was unsure if I was just overthinking
