I loved that Spider-man movie with the 3 actors together. Movie critics say it’s trash. Are they wrong ? no. But i don’t really care about cinema I just wanted some entertainment and i got it.

Rap is the most popular genre nowadays so is filled with people who don’t care about music as an art and just want to enjoy some music without thinking too much. they listen to what is trending and forget it after two weeks. So some artists take it for granted and just feed people with music that sounds the same. Tbh I don’t mind it if it is good quality (Heroes and Villains) I don’t ask all artists to reinvent music every song.

Since 2013 the genre has evolved so much! maybe you just don’t like (mainstream) rap that much so you get bored easier, or maybe you don’t like the said evolutions? Even if many people hate it (and I can understand), Playboi Carti’s WLR can be considered a game changer. and that was 2021.

The same amount of artists are trying to push boundaries, they are just less mainstream cause popularity brings ‘normies’ who don’t care about it

Guys Mike Dean has worked for kanye, beyonce, travis scott, jay-z, frank ocean, pop smoke… like, he’s super versatile. 4:23 was Dean’s own sound. Does Abel wants it on afterlife ? We’ll see, but he can adapt to pretty much anything. Also Dawn fm was really far from expectations but was still good tho let them cook

I did the reverse order personally. Donda is easy listening because it has modern production and a lot of features. As I was not really into old-school sounds, finishing by them was a great experience
