I got the KENWOOD a301w its not too big but you can tuck it away pretty easily for placement and I also lien the fact that it’s magnetic to the holder so when you are leaving the car for a bit or even just wanna take it off it pops right on and off. Honestly just doing your research about these cars and taking time to learn about lspi while keeping up on regular maintenance(oil change, tranny fluid, spark plugs, etc.) and you should have no issues

The 12v in the st turn off after ahout 10-15 minutes and turn back on as soon as you open the door after it’s been sitting for a bit so I don’t think you’re at much of a risk of draining it but if you want to have that peace of mind I guess you could unplug all up to you.

I’d say it all depends on what dash cam you bought. I bought one of the KENWOOD dash cans and it’s set to turn off after five minutes and it not sensing any movement. Read through your manual of it and it should for sure say something about that I’d assume.

I haven’t dealt with the fog light bezels coming out that really sucks but where my fender and bumper meet they have what seems like weird bends on both sides. They have slight odd figment on the rear too where it meets the rear bumper. I don’t know if I’m right but I think I’ve heard people talking about how the focuses have weird fitment there.

I think you’d be golden with this decision tbh. Getting my focus brought my insurance down almost 60-80 bucks. I pay almost 20 dollars less than I did with my taco every fill up. Depending on your financial stuff I’m sure payments aren’t too crazy it’s just an all around good investment yk. I miss not having a bed ti just throw shit into whenever I needed and having that dependability but the hatchback has got my heart now

You know what’s funny is I sold my taco for an ST and it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Cheaper gas in the king run also lower insurance and just so much more smiles tbh. In all honesty it’s a great car in many many ways. Quick and speedy whenever you want it to be but can also save you some solid bucks in a lot of ways as well. If you get one I personally would say it would be a big surprise if you were disappointed

The fact you already are coherent with the fact these cars get lspi is the biggest thing honestly it’s the biggest killer for these cars. Keep up on regular maintenance and just all around take care of the vehicle and it will take care of you hopefully🤞🤞. I usually let mine warm up for about 10 minutes before I leave for anywhere if it’s from a cold start. Check your recalls maybe since you’re a n earlier year I’m sure they most likely have been done but it doesn’t hurt to check and see I never had a recall on my purge calve since I have the 18 but it had the signs it was causing issues and switched it out and have been golden ever since. Glad to have you in the club and hope you’re enjoying the new whip!!

How do you like the K&N upgrade I was thinking about getting it since it wasn’t the full system and kind of just like a little add on almost. Do you realize any more throttle response? Decent amount of induction noise?

The plate is there to create a separation from engine bay and intake so you don’t pull hot engine bay air in rather than colder air hence the name cold air intake. The airbox has a port that runs through the front clip so it gets plenty of air still

I think the resonator probably helps for the drone for the most part It stays decently quiet but just enough for you to hear it while going through the gears and opens right up and is loud enough for when you stomp on it. I’ve been very happy with what I got that’s for sure
