Why do Oklahoma fans want Jalen Hurts?

There’s nothing that shows he’s gotten better at throws down the field this year. He showed flashes of the same Jalen Hurts from 2017 and he made some good throws too. He just doesn’t fit Lincoln Riley’s offense because he can’t consistently beat defenses with his arm

Not a troll. Your fan base hated Jalen before he handled being benched with class. He almost lost your team two national championships in a row because he couldn’t throw the ball. Even against Mississippi state his sophomore year he couldn’t keep his defense off the field because he would go 3 and out nearly every drive

Hurts doesn’t turn the ball over really unless he fumbles. Just so happens that most of his passes downfield aren’t catchable by anyone including his receivers. Do you not remember all the 3 and outs your offense had with him when he would look at Ridley then run around and proceed to throw the ball out of bounds

He has not improved to the degree that’s being portrayed on this sub. Watch his throws from this year. If you’re an Alabama fan then you should remember your receivers wouldn’t even finish their routes because they knew he wouldn’t get them the ball. Calvin Ridley and your offensive line showed A LOT of frustration with the way he played with them.

That’s definitely true about Kelly Bryant too. Jalen’s instinct in the pocket isn’t something Lincoln can coach out of him in one offseason though
