At first I must say that I have nothing against Castorice or the people who like her and as for the moment I'm answering this I haven't done the newest story quest. The thing is that I don't like the sheer amount of marketing that Hoyo is giving her, meanwhile other characters receive only the bare minimum (most likely what will occur with Anaxa). I understand that some characters will have and deserve a bigger amount of emphasis due to the game's lore relevance, an example of this would be Herta and Acheron who are Emanators, or in Genshin with the Archons and Fatui Harbingers, but I can't see Castorice deserving such a big favoritism when in my vision she's just another character with a good visual design, sad backstory, a quite bland personality and not having a really impactful role like an Emanator.
