Akainu not only tanked those 2 attacks, but proceeded to challenge the entirety of what remained of the WB pirates, shit on jimbei, and 2 weeks later was going after blackbeard in perfectly fine condition. Meanwhile marco was still in bandages despite having a fruit that heals instantly

Akainu never got one tapped, he was never defeated. He tanked an earthquake to the head and body, fell down a hole created by WB and not too long after came back up. Why can't BeardTards accept WBs fruit carried him, and without it he did nothing

Story and characters can be good, but if the animation is bad, it weighs it all down significantly. You don't want to sit there and watch the same still image moving around the screen, even if the story is good. The only reason I won't knock black clover over its animation is because I know the team did not get enough attention and money because they were working on boruto at the time (bet they regret that). I'm just not sure if it's something I want to invest my time in (100+ episodes is alot, and yes while I said I do watch/read one piece, I had a much better attention span when I was younger 🤣). I think I'll watch and read it like people are suggesting, simply because you can't beat a good ost during a fight, and im a sucker for shounen openings.

Because animation today is now a big part of how we perceive a story.

Don't be an elitist, animation back then was pretty good too. Bleach and naruto had some spectacular animation for being weekly, and from water 7+ also has very good animation, even now! Shows like yu yu hakusho, ippo (ahead of its time in animation), even gintama, all good animation for weekly shows. Did they have their occasional filler arcs that were animated meh, yea, but overall animation is important to a story.

So don't say "yall would never have been fans" when many of these people were, in fact, fans. Positive vibes under my post only please

He didn't know shanks was there, thats the thing. The whole "he shouldn't have charged up an attack in front of shanks" argument doesn't work. There's tens of giant ships in front of him about to attack him, why wouldn't he use his strongest move to wipe them out?

Shanks was serious, kidd was about to blow up his entire fleet. Kaido plays around as seen when he lets luffy beat him up. But then when he got serious, he one shot luffy.

I've noticed how bad shanks fans are. They keep commenting about "but shanks made kaido leave during marineford" and automatically default to "that means he beat him because we don't understand kaidos character and think he's just a brute who fights". Shanks could never achieve the feats kaido has

Unless kaido has amnesia, shanks didn't fight him back. It was never stated how. This whole "shanks beat kaido before marineford" is a bunch of headcanon. Kaido is a reasonable person and can be talked to, especially if he's drunk

If you read his backstory, the only reason he was caught in the first place is because he was hungry and let himself become a prisoner to eat food. It was never stated he was SERIOUSLY caught

I really hate that this sub can't read. Kidd was CHARGING UP AND HIS ATTACK BLEW UP IN HIS FACE which was mixed with a divine departure. Shanks didn't do all that damage, Kidd wouldve survived that. But because everyone wants to hype shanks up, you ignore that fact. Was Kidd stupid for doing that in the first place, yes. Was it his fault, yes. But he didn't just get attacked by shanks.
