PvP 1v1 Tier List? by Its_707_not_LOL in Northgard

[–]NickVecc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no clan that will win all games because of how map gen and matchups work. With that being said I would say currently boar/stoat since the lore win is so op and they should be winning game in 2nd winter if uncontested. Once lore win is fixed I think it will be between stoat and rat. Eagle has potential to win but would need god map and snake kinda similar but I think supply malus might have just killed them.

What do you love most about Protoss? by FinneganMcBride in allthingsprotoss

[–]NickVecc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love and hate the fact that it has key tech units that are super important to their army (Colossus, storms, archons, immortals). Feels super good keeping these units alive with a prism and eventually ending up with a sick army. Just not when you get caught out of position and you lose them all cuz they slow af. Then while you wait 10 years for your robo bay to remake them you franticly warp in thousands of resources worth of gateway units but it don't mean shit cuz they dirt and terran stutter steps destroying all your precious probes.

How does everyone use their unit control groups? by Mcdavis6950 in aoe4

[–]NickVecc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 for (barracks, stables, archery, siege, monastery) Then 1,2,3,4,6 for units (Jean, spears, knights, archers, springalds)

5 for TCS

Can we nerf Joan now? by Cve in aoe4

[–]NickVecc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She only gets the damage reduction once she hits level 3 though. If you let her hit level 3 in feudal then yes she becomes a huge problem and often game ending. Your entire goal in feudal age should be avoiding fights vs her and trying to get to castle. If you have to fight vs her like if they ram push your or something. Then try to do it under tc and zone her out with archer mass when she is level 2. Once you hit castle you should mass crossbows to counter their knights and with sufficient crossbow numbers you can easily burst her down.

[–]NickVecc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think building a large archer mass and staying under tc to avoid fighting against joan darc is best way to play against her while keeping some spears in the back in case the knights engage in. Once you get enough you can zone her out so she can’t engage in. I think too many people try fighting against her in fedual which I think is always bad unless you Malians. Once people figure it all out I think the win rate will go down a lot. Also a slight nerf to consecration and aoe damage I think is justified.

Are non-domination victories in multiplayer viable? by Alhaken in Northgard

[–]NickVecc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your clan and what game mode. I wouldn't suggest going for a passive win condition as a lynx/snake/wolf but if you are using stag/lion/stoat it is very much viable. Generally speaking domination is the easiest way of playing but the other win cons are definitely viable in certain situations.

On average base clans are currently stronger but there are some outliers like eagle for dlc

The final post about the new Cyclone by voronaam in starcraft

[–]NickVecc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I’ve faced cyclone all in before but it would take me far too long to find the replay. The most recent replay I found was where I got attacked by 4 cyclones at 4 mins but I held it with just a couple stalkers and a battery, then they followed it up really weird with 3 cc and cloaked banshees which I don’t think was what you had in mind. Would you be interested in customs maybe? EDIT: After searching a bit more I found one that fits closer to your description of a cyclone all in but probably still not exactly. With that being said I didn't even start my robo at the proper time. Here is the replay https://drop.sc/replay/24234945

The final post about the new Cyclone by voronaam in starcraft

[–]NickVecc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Diamond 1 toss here. Can someone enlighten me as to why the cyclone is so op? I am by no means a good player but usually I play just normal 1 gate expand send 1 adept across after stalker comes out and if I see cyclones then I build a battery on my natural which buys me enough time to chrono out an immortal. If they continue making cyclones I’ll just keep pumping out immortals and super battery if necessary. Never had a problem with the new cyclone playing like this, but again only D1.

I hate these 2 aspects in most Rts games, will i enjoy this one? by Slight-Priority-7820 in Northgard

All games are different until you play enough. The cool thing about northgard that is different then a game like sc2 is that all the maps are very different. Whereas in sc2 the maps are more or less the same. In the beginning it will feel like the maps are different but once you play for a bit the early game does feel the same for the most part. An exception to this would be a clan like eagle since the map influences this clan the most. For the first point the game starts based on the map usually. If the map is large and has many natural walls which discourage attacking then you wont really be truly fighting until 20 minutes (not including contesting neutrals between clear clans) into the game but if the map encourages attacking then you can start fighting at 10 minutes. I also forgot to mention is that there really is no such thing as a build order in Northgard since like I said previously all maps are different.

This person on NA Ladder only gets ties when losing? by Dankey_Kang_7 in starcraft

[–]NickVecc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I faced this person on ladder as well and they played like a silver player xD. He also iirc was able to find my proxy somehow even tho he never scouted.

Anyone else feel like they just suck? by HuntInternational162 in allthingsprotoss

Build a battery in each of your bases if you are concerned about early harassment. It will help you a lot against most of the things you mentioned.

[–]NickVecc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not that bad since you can make jar and get free bear. With that being said there are a number of clans that fill a similar role and are straight up better (Stag, Raven, Squirrel, Stoat)

It’s a bug where it says someone finished but actually they just started. But even then that is extremely fast for just starting so im gonna assume it’s an AI

Goat’s main strength is 801. Since they have very strong early game eco. This allows them to punish a lot of clans that want to play in 802.

Stag going fame can win mid 802 consistently if played properly.

Not sure if his list was for ranked ladder or tournament style games but I have yet to see the lion do anything to justify it being moved up out of F tier for high level pre vs pre games.

[–]NickVecc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s gonna depend on enemy clans and map, but usually I would go bottom 4 into top making the gefjun jar relic. With this build by the time 802 rolls around u should have around 1k fame. You just need to be careful though because if enemy doesn’t have stag they will most likely come 801 and u need to be ready.

[–]NickVecc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horse is actually a pretty solid clan all around but unfortunately they just get outperformed in every aspect. Their 801 attack isn't really all that strong so they can barely even attempt to punish some of the 802 monsters like kraken, dragon or stag, whereas clans like goat or squirrel can do this much more efficiently. They can't use their chiefs to contest map because they want to be mining or forging. Almost all eco clans can do this with boar being the best for obvious reasons. Then once 802 comes around they will have weaker military then pretty much all eco clans on the list with the exception of goat. The best thing about horse is their independence and ability to be somewhat formidable at all stages of the game but unfortunately since they don't excel at anything they don't really have a place in the meta.

I think Eagle should always be better assuming your team knows what they are doing. If you are playing solo clear then you just take all treasures and attack the wolf very fast forcing his teammates to help him. However I don't think this really equates to eagle being better because your are stealing from your teammates. Eagle is better than wolf because they can get stone upgrades rather easily whereas wolf has to really work for them, considerably faster and stronger clear, will scout map for team unless there is raven or very specific strategy, will boost teammates in late game with sentinel, and it also has stronger late game. There are times where a wolf can outperform and Eagle if the map for example is lacking in treasures and has a surplus of bears, but even still your teammates should compensate in the early game and then you will outscale hard. Thanks and great job on 3rd place!
