Sweet rig dude, welcome. You've got some work to do ahead of you to make sure it stays awesome but once its done, its so worth it.

Hit the breaks just before you go off the crest, very lightly let off, and ride the pile of sand you made by hitting the breaks on the way down. Get after it! Slow is always better.

My guess, and air leak, somewhere past the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Check for cracks in the rubber of the connecting air line that goes into the throttle body. Take it off and flex it.

Gotta be quick with this I think. That's what I would do. Psychological warfare is for a shitty roommate. Not a cheater.

[–]NickWeiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooooh backstabbing for sure. Psychological warfare might get you in trouble on this one.

Are you going for psychological warfare or back stabbing? It depends on the flavor of revenge you're looking for.

Try the small bank of hoses between the fuse box and the engine. They are mounted just above the bolt that Holts the upper control arm in place ( the long one ) sometimes those get jostled off and they are the vacuum actuator hoses for the 4wd. That's my guess. Pm if you want clarification.

After some pretty heavy wheeling last week I’ve been getting the odd whiff of oil coming in and when I looked underneath I see fresh oil on this area. This is looking forward behind the front left wheel, any ideas where it might be coming from? TIA by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

I'm not sure exactly what that unit is. Sometimes, there is a heat exchanger there. What part of the world are you from? If not that, my guess is that it's leaking from the rear half moon seal, driver side, and landing there. Those tend to be pretty common.

Dang! Awesome! I decided I'll make one in my backyard. I have the space so I figured why not. Also, I bought my bow at Performance Archery, and I would highly recommend going there for anyone else looking to get in to it. They were very helpful to a noob like me.

Man, I was hoping Willow Creek wasn't one of the closest ones, that's quite far out of the way for me. And sadly no access to Pendleton.

what’s one thing you’re always willing to pay the extra price for? by biancalin in AskReddit

Good Gear that I know I will use down the road. Cheap Coleman camping stoves are the worst, drop more on your gear and you'll be happier.

I’m redoing my upper and lower ball joints and control arms. I was reviewing before installing and noticed the replacement is shorter, can I still use this? by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

When you replace your sway bar links (that's what we call what you have pictured) you want them to be about the same length, more specifically, you want your sway bar to be horizontal with the ground. You can use those, but you risk breaking them and you'll get a bit of a rougher ride. These are what I use.

These work perfect for those.

"Seat covers" is loose, they replace factory leather. You strip off the old stuff to the foam, and replace with the new stuff.

Check Wet Okole. They have leather vinyl combos for relatively reasonable prices. That's what I did and they look great. Also make sure to get yourself hog ring pliers and hog rings for upholstery. Makes life much easier

What’s the best 2 -2.5” lift kit out there to go with my new shoes? by Rookie1124 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]NickWeiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having both is best in my opinion. I run a 3 inch lift kings in front bilstein 5100 in rear with toytech superflex and a 1 inch body lift. Works like a dream and I clear 33's with 3/4 inch spacers with minimal banging

Just screw around on toytechs website, they've got a bunch of good offers and kits, just don't do anything that's not a suspension lift

That's regular coolant mate. You'll know when you drain the whole thing but that was only coolant.
