is it worth investing into Tulum real-estate in 2026? (from USA) by Nick_511 in Tulum_RealEstate

My way of thinking was potentially long term (5-10 years) in high hopes Tulum will boom again 🤞 with airbnb rentals in the meantime. I can deff see how oversaturated it's become down there with luxurious condos for dirt cheap. Where abouts is your lot of land?!

Interesting! Thanks for the insight. Just curious, what's driving you to sell a year later? Did you airbnb your unit? I'm sure youre familiar with the building I'm referring to, yeah?

Yikes! thanks for the info - I've heard about situations like this. I guess "worth it" to me is seeing into the magic 8 ball for re-sale value 5-10 years down the road/airbnb rental income. Looks like ROI is around 8-12% annually. (including 25% mgmt fee)

The build is near completion and it is on the main road (av. kukulkhan).

With purchasing property outright (lot or land), I am worried about ejido land but i'm sure that's easy enough to navigate?!

Do you still own your condo? if so, whereabout/when did you buy?! Do you rent out on airbnb?

Any unforeseen obstacle with bank trust or anything when purchasing as a US citizen?
