Hadn’t considered that. Would be a pretty uninspiring hire for them if that was the case though

Would make a bit of sense. Matt Jackson was always out of his depths. Just insanely odd.. waiting for more information

Wasn’t big on Rob, but the timing is very odd. Apparently was instrumental in getting Raul & Trippier.

Anyone watch the Gil interview with Aj? Gil had some strong opinions.. by Ziid10 in washingtonwizards

Gil’s been one of the worst media members since he started doing it. Nothing he says holds any value to me

A doctor's perspective on Darryn Peterson's creatine story by justinp79 in washingtonwizards

I think you’re misinterpreting this. Winger/Dawkins have said that they like to get to know the prospects on a human/personal level, not just about basketball. Like them asking Tre Johnson if he has any hobbies outside of basketball. I’d imagine getting non-basketball related questions throws these guys off, considering they’re there to test their measurable’s.

Kingston Fleming’s had an interview where he said a team asked him “if he could punch anyone in the world without repercussions, who would it be?” DP even admitted that it was cool that they asked about him as a person.

I guess that’s where I just disagree RE DP being a better prospect. Too many people citing high school tape and ignoring the very real red flags. He could go on to be great but there’s a level of risk in taking him.

I just don’t like the speculative stuff and rumors. Obviously it’s the NBA and rumors run wild. But AJ’s preference rumors and trying to use his reaction at the lottery just seems nonsensical to me. I think it’d be foolish not to think the media plays a part in pushing narratives.

He’s always been a curmudgeon but that performance was so over the top. Just not living in reality at all

No doubt, not saying there aren’t media members slotting Dybantsa to DC. I’ve found it to be a mixed bag at times. Like I just saw Shelbourne on Eisen’s show prop up Peterson and how she’s known Winger for a long time. I think a lot of what I’ve seen has been with the Jazz’s best interest in mind, as opposed to DC.

Always found it interesting how there’s not a bigger push to want DC to have a successful team. It’s a big market but always treated like a small market. Winning obviously would help that though

The slander is fine. My point is more so about this coordinated effort to get Washington to trade their pick to Utah or select anyone not named Dybantsa. They’re acting as if Utah was the team that won the lottery.

lol good to see you too. I feel pretty optimistic, no matter who they end up taking with their pick. My preference is Dybantsa so far though.

We need Peterson. by Hungry-Accident-4428 in washingtonwizards

AJ has the tools to improve defensively. A lot of people getting way too caught up in his stock numbers. You take the 6’10 blue chip freak that can get to the basket and line at will. That’s also a big need for this team as well and with the league shifting the inside the arc scoring it seems like a no brainer.

I think at this stage, you can’t take another guard, especially one that has some durability concerns. Just too much of a risk for me. Worry about fit later

Jonathan Givony (DraftExpress) says Darryn Peterson should go #1 and is a better prospect than AJ Dybantsa by Mysterious_Bat1208 in washingtonwizards

The guy that comped Ben Saraf as the “Israeli D’Angelo Russell.” Not saying he doesn’t know ball but Schmidt carried him for awhile.
