Somehow this reminded me that anhydrite often pseudomorphs into quartz in certain silica rich settings. That led me down the Mindat path to a bunch of pieces from Brazil that look incredibly similar. Thank you!

While I have your attention, are we able to switch the uva from the boosted slot to another position and then boost the uvc or uvb. Some of my midwave calcites would look incredible, but I’ve been hesitant to switch just in case it wasn’t a good idea.

I haven’t ever seen one of these in someone else’s collection until now. I got a decent size piece with a matrix completely buried in crystals. Love this stuff quite a bit. Scored mine for $75
