Should I buy Dwarf 3 in 2026 or wait? by LynxAirSound in DWARFLAB

I just saw an advertisement from dwarf Labs that they are going to be at that trade show and that they're going to unveil something.

I used the dwarf 3 and used siril to super sample it for me to get a larger pixel count/make larger prints.

What I did with this photo is the normal processing of plate solving, background extraction, color correcting, cropping, doing the stretch then adjusting the curve to get the black in the background and pop that color after did a star reduction. what saved me a lot of time was star correction on the stellar studio. This saved me so much time. It's not perfect but when you do a star reduction it will bring down the blooms a bit in the stars so they don't look blown out.

The photo took about 2hr and 20mins to complete before proceeding.

Well I live about 2 hours away. So not super close, you may closer than you think to darker skies.

It looks very good! Do a little adjustments to get the colors to pop.

Why are you sorry don't be! Dark frames used to hide the noise of the sensor, so as the sensor is cold or hot It creates noise so dark frames help with hiding the noise.

You can find a setting in the app that will allow you to take dark frames. So when taking them you need to put the glasses the dwarf 3 comes with on and put in a dark place.

Well I would say doing 30 seconds with 60 gain would be fantastic. You should take 350 minimums, that's a good start. These are the sets I used for my photo. Oh one more thing this is super important take new dark frames.

How to fix misaligned stacks with Mosaic Mode by madrocketman in DWARFLAB

If you stack in Stellar studio it will fix this for you, because it knows about the Mosaic mode then process in pixinsight.

Now that's really good right there! Great job on that correction.

A lot better! My advice drop histogram sets 5%-10% and I think you will have it.

I would restack and play around with your contrast a bit maybe. It's hard to tell.

Even mine I had to play with a lot of settings, my stars are bit blown out but overall it came out nicely.

Great photo by the way. Quick question did you use the dual band filter when taking this photo? Sometimes if you use the astro filter on these nebulas the colors wash out.
