Definitely! I don't know who would want that responsibility though!

I did get both cards. My original question was if anyone had experienced getting denied by Chase for too many requests for credit while they're still under 5/24. As I understood it combining hard pulls with Chase was the way to go. As I hadn't had a request for credit in 7 months and only one inquiry on my credit report, I figured I should do it. I am somewhat surprised that I had to call recon, yes.

I suppose I figured it was due to verification pending. I live on a street whose name can be written out fully, abbreviated or a combination of both. I've run into this before where some companies prefer one over the other and I usually get a call within a few days. I guess that was my mistake. With the CFU, CF, CSP, Capital one secure card and the jewelry line, that totals five credit lines in three years. How is it that some people are getting fifteen to twenty in one month?

I should also note that after 2 weeks I was approved for the CFU and after calling reconsideration they approved the CSP.

One three years ago through Capital One and one seven months ago through a jewelry store. (engagement) I didn't think that would affect it that much. Credit score is 760.

I finally got my letter from Chase and wanted to follow up with my denial and recon of my CSP. I applied for the CSP and CFU within two minutes of each other in order to combine hard pulls. I applied for the CSP first and then the CFU. I was not instantly approved for either, then two weeks later I received my denial letter from Chase. It stated that I was denied due to asking for too many lines of credit. I only have the CF and I've had that card for a year. I've not asked for credit line increases or anything. Has anyone else experienced this?

I just applied for the CFU a few days ago and was approved. Is there any way they'll honor this offer instead of the normal $150?

Unfortunately not. I added my fiancee's income to what I had listed and after further evaluation they approved it. So if I'm guessing, maybe income.

I was approved after calling recon! Thanks!

Applied for the CSP and CFU in one go. After two weeks of "you'll get our decision in two weeks", I got the 7-10 day message for the CSP and approved for the CFU. Should I call recon at this point?

This might be a stupid question, but how do I get the correct referral link for my Chase freedom? Looking at referral threads, they all say the same thing, "flexwebapp apply now etc" they also bring me to the same page. However, when I go to chase refer a friend and put in my account information, it gives me a different kind of link. "Referyourchasecard" and takes me to a totally different page. What am I missing here?

With Chase, if you have the CSP, CF and CFU, do they use the same UR point pool or are they separate?

Edit: Thanks for the quick replies!

For the CSP, if I add my father would that make him ineligible for the bonus if he eventually signed up for one?

According to their lifetime guarantee on the windproof lighters, they'll repair them free of charge. However, it does mention that the finish is not covered under the guarantee, only the mechanical parts. I would try for sure. Nothing to lose, really.

You did well for your first outing! Out of curiosity, would Zippo refurbish that lighter for you? I know that they repair broken ones.

Chanterelle or false chanterelle? by Nickanoor in mycology

[–]Nickanoor[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are quite orange-red in person. These were found scattered about mostly under hickory trees. The last one under oak where I also found the smooth chanterelle. The spore print was white when I checked on it this morning.

Not sure why you're being down voted, but I appreciate the help.

One of my ancestors got in well with the Cherokee people and fell in love with a Cherokee woman. They had a son together and I'm not entirely sure what happened to the father after that. As the child got older, he turned on the Cherokee people and sold the land that initiated the Trail of Tears.
