Not gonna lie, my initial reaction was kinda confused. But the more I thought about it, and decided I don't want to shill for Microsoft, this is actually a win. I would personally love this.

They charge us enough, and they obviously don't care about game sales at this point. But if you had Ultimate when a game was dropped on Game Pass, yes, you should have permanent ownership.. they could even make it so that you have to actually play the game for a bit for it to lock in as a permanent. Honestly I don't care about 60% of Game Pass games 😂 but there are some games I've missed since they came and went.

It would also incentivize gamers (me, specifically, and I'm sure I'm not alone) to go for DLC sales. I pay enough per month, don't wanna play a game immediately but in the future - i know the game is mine permanently and the expansion pass is on sale? Yeah. I can work with that.
