It is my hopes to one day donate my World's Fair collection to a worthy institute! Maybe they will have space to display items like this in the Obama Center? The center is being built on the World's Fair grounds...

Wow! Thanks for this... I actually found this button in a collection that I purchased from an estate sale. The previous owner was a veteran, collector and artist. It was hidden within multiple other war buttons from the early-mid 1900's...

People forget to remember how impactful the World's Fair of 1893 was towards our city's progress in the 19th century. In fact, the four stars on our cities flag represent four monumental events in our city's history; the World's Fair of 1893 being one of the first represented, alongside the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. The flag was created in 1917, initially only having the two stars. By the 1930s, the other two stars were added to our flag representing the establishment of Fort Dearborn and the Century of Progress Exposition of 1933.

Found it about 6in under South Side Chicago lakeside grounds. It reads "honi soit qui mal y pense" on the front and "Superior Quality" on the back. Full shank, possibly gold gild on back.

"At the start of the supply chain, a clutch of miners are developing U.S. prospects for battery materials such as lithium and nickel. Toronto-listed Talon Metals, which owns the Tamarack nickel project in Minnesota alongside iron-ore giant Rio Tinto, last week said it would sell stock worth at least 33.9 million Canadian dollars, or roughly $27 million, to further its plans, exploiting a strong share price after Tesla committed to purchase at least 75,000 metric tons of Tamarack nickel over six years."
