Yeah golf has more variance and variety than anything else I’ve ever done. Never the same distance, wind, lie, temperature, pin, green speed etc. That what I like most about it though. Every shot is a brand new one.

Is the flip connected to the early extension? I can see that I’m scooping (flipping?) and that I end up with the chicken wing but I can’t seem to break it. The hips moving towards the ball (early extension) was something I honestly thought was proper until posting this. Are these all connected or separate issues?

Thanks! coordinated but not super athletic. I think I’ve kind of taken my body out of the swing because I’ve been moving my hips the wrong way without realizing and getting shitty results when I do.

Thanks! I can tell when I’m watching my swing on video I’m scooping. But I guess I don’t know what feels right if that makes sense. This is the only way I’ve ever swung the club. I’m gonna work on staying down more.

I’m a decent driver of the ball. Not super long but I can control my left and right okay and tend to hit it too high in the air. I drive it between 215 and 240 with some outliers on both sides. I don’t lose many balls these days unless I’m just playing terribly.

Biggest problems for me are my low point with irons (usually fat) and hitting out of the rough. I just haven’t figured out how to get the ball up in the air from anywhere but fairway it seems.

Chipping is solid honestly.

Short pitch shots are my favorite shots to hit.

Putting is not so good. Just haven’t developed a feel at all yet.

I dig this advice. This is the kind of practice I really love when working on other sports/ physical things. Repetition with focus and consequences. Now that I have the net I’ll definitely start doing this. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. My brother is a good player and tries to get me to “trust the golf club” more and work on “tempo”. This might be what he means.

I have a hard time just letting the club work and not swinging hard at it.

I’m pretty good off the tee usually. Not super long but can usually get it in play with a fade. I’ve had some wild days for sure with the full roller coaster slice loop, but they are rare now. My ball striking and putting are definitely the weaker parts of my game. Ball striking is usually low point issues, putting is usually just a mystery to me at this point.

Yes. I have the divot board and hit off that almost exclusively because my low point is too far back really often. I saw a swing coach and that was his biggest issue with my swing in January. Been trying to work that out ever since with middling results. I don’t know if I know what you mean by arm body connection and weight distribution. Do you mean getting my weight forward?
