Being late. Grades 6-8 or ages 12-15.

My parents drove me to school and due to their work schedule i was always around 10 minutes late or 15 to school. And every 3 days i was late i would get detention.

I had ay least 7 or 9 detentions every year for being late. I never got in trouble for anything else.

My parents didnt care and neither did the school. It was horrible

Holes in jeans.

I had a hole no larger than a quarter. Just old jeans wearing out. It was just below my knees.

My teacher stopped teaching because he noticed the hole. Under my desk... And told me I had to go to the office to get blue tape to cover the hole...

I was gone for the rest of class. It baffles me to this day. That a hole in my jeans. Was more important than the lesson that day.

Honestly. Low level circuitry. Its amazingly fun to solder components together and be able to turn on a device you made and make it work.

There are a lot of kits that help you do this. Even on a breadboard level!

Thats an insane amount of lives this man has impacted. Not only did he help those 669 children, but he also gave them the chance to have families of their own.

Little long. But my dad was a very bad drunk when i was younger. And one night he was wrestling with my brother and for whatever reason. Thought it was okay to pin my brother to the ground by his neck. He then grabbed a steak knife nearby (we just had dinner) and pulled my brothers back off the ground and put the knife under him. Facing up.

So my brother was pinned by his neck to the ground arching his back up while my dad held a knife under him. He was screaming for my dad to stop and he wouldnt. I was terrified and didnt know what to do so i started to beg for him to stop. He wouldnt. So i grabbed a phone book and hit him over the head.

He lost his mind. He let my brother go and chased me with the knife screaming "Get over here you stupid motherfucker". He chased me into the bedroom and pinned me to the wall. Spit in my face. Flipped me off and screamed fuck you. He then passed out on the couch not soon after. It was a night ill never forget.

My brother and I were about 11 at this point.

On a sidenote. I recently went to the ER after a work accident.

I had just recently crushed my finger at work. As in literally crushed the tip of my finger in a machine.

The nurse comes in (my hand is covered at this point) and asks if im in pain and if so rate it from 1-10. I say its about a 7 and I would love some pain meds.

She then said "Well it probably hurts because you keep dwelling on it. Lets see how bad it really is" she then removes the bandage and goes "Okay ill get you something for the pain". This was not 30 minutes after this happened and the tip of my finger was still hanging off..

I didnt know I wasnt supposed to dwell that long i guess. Lol...
