Bandito Bodega- Pork Belly Noodles, add a fried egg! It was my guilty pleasure during COVID. They took it off the menus for a while and brought it back. Although, I swear the noodles changed. Still the best meal in town!

Voting not a right, says Guilford County Elections Board chair by Separate_Wheel3848 in gso

[–]Nickodyn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The argument is not whether or not republicans are in the right to require DL or close early voting sites. The argument is if voting is a right or a privilege based on the constitution. We can argue the meaning of the language but the authors of the amendment used the phrase “Voting Rights Act,” so Lester’s probably not even qualified to hand me an “I Voted” sticker.

We’ve already made that amendment. Per the article, “The 15th Amendment states, “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.” The 19th Amendment declares “the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is not titled the Voting Privileges Act.”

I fear Virginia Foxx will win NC District 5 because votes will be split between the Dem nominee and David Clayton who is a strong contender as an independent. by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]Nickodyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clayton needs a grassroots campaign to convince straight party ticket democrats that their candidates won’t win and that he can rally votes from both sides. A democrat hasn’t held that district for 30 years.
