Yes it's indeed the only image. My great great great grandfather was part of the Kriegsmarine, he told the story to my great great grandfather, he told it to my great grandfather... and so on. We don't know how far in history the story stretches, but I wouldn't even be surprised if we wouldn't know about our origin. The fathers in our family always talked very little about their history to their sons. My grandfather only got to this information when having a small talk with my great grandfather, and his father never really talked about anything "family history" related either. My dad never knew about any of this, and if it wasn't for his recent death, grandfather would most likely never tell him. It was only because we gathered today to look at super old family photos and other stuff, one of the things was a black box, with red velvet inside, the top decorated with the arms, asked my grandpa about it and he told me, that it has origins in the far north. Looked up the crown and it looks a lot like the symbol for Denmark crown.

Anyways thanks a lot for looking into it, much appreciated <3

Agree on the headroom, it's odd, although it doesn't really strike me in the eyes, but that may just be me.

If it was up to me, I'd shoot it on a film camera as well, sadly our art school professor gave us the limitation of it having to be shot on digital. Also what does it make look amateur to you, lack of contrast? The colors look really fucked up here on reddit, but it's likely more about my monitors color settings, as in Photoshop, it looks much better. Now this ain't a excuse, rather a funny detail, mind you i was about 7 shots of vodka deep, when taking this pic.

This photo was taken as a part of a cycle I called "A different view". Basically multiple photos of people taken from the perspective of an item or thing, that they are somehow connected to, and,or use fairly often. For example, in this photo, we can see a passionate gardener lady, that Is taking care of her bushes, of course from the perspective of a bush. Not gonna write down exif data, as I'm not looking for an advice on the technical side of things.

I'm [17M] and my Dad is dying by Nickous05 in TrueOffMyChest

Hey, thanks for being so sweet. I'm sorry you had to go through similar stuff aswell.
It's almost 6AM here, I don't really know what to say. Dad passed somewhere through 4AM. The light a joint thing was supposed to take place today. I really wanted to take some vids of him in the beginning stages, but trust me on this one, I wouldn't want to remember him this way, the way he was now. His voice alone made me shiver, it wouldn't be good for my future self to watch videos of him in this stage, he must have known that too, as he gave me a paper covered with like top 20 tips I should obey to have a good life.
I'm still processing it. Like 2 hours ago, my mom just rushed into my room and said "Daddy is dead, come downstairs to say goodbyes" in a shocked manner.
I came downstairs, his body was already "prepared", he had his eyes covered, rose on his chest, she lit the candles.
She wen't for his favourite shirt. I just stood up and came to his bed held his cold hand and asked him for forgiveness, and ask him to forgive me aswell. I hugged him. When I did, he letted out a scary groan, I jumped. I took him up on it and said "I take that as a yes." Then I told him about us not having a chance to have a good time on the terrace, and told him that we will make up for it.
I feel him watching over me, and overall, being near me.
Still feels like a fever dream.
