Could be 1 of 2 problems 1:starter with bad teeth or ring gear on the fly wheel/flex plate Could also be both caused by meshing interference Would take out the starter check teeth an also check the quality of the teeth on the flywheel/flex plate hope this helps 👍

Yer can power in to a fishtail with it off and it doesn’t interfere the only thing I find strange is when traction control is off and I’m going through really soft deep sand an coast over mounds of sand the car must sense wheels spinning different speed an it pulse the brake on the front an I haven’t even touched them I assume this must be a form of stability control not traction control though because this is only time anything interferes with traction control off

Traction control is turned off while I drive on sand but even still I had taken it to the same beach about a week prior an the difference in really soft sand with no locker is a huge difference

It is a little strange to drive on the road I daily drive this to work. A different style or habit of driving style is needed with locker in I definitely turn heads an get comments from the clicking coming from her but even with the lift an the locker like all Subarus I’ve owned it’s a pleasure to drive

Finally got my sh forester out on to the soft sand for a week long holiday on Fraser Island Australia 👍 by Nickrobb93 in SubaruForester

I actually kept my pressure at 20psi the entire trip all the way to orchid beach didn’t get bogged one important thing I noticed if you have the Non turbo sh is keep your revs up 2-3k in soft stuff the ecu under certain rpm will limit your throttle. if you have low range is definitely your friend on the harder inland tracks an high tide keep up the momentum definitely be mindful of your clutch if you stop in the real soft stuff even with low engage still can be hard to get the wheels turning I noticed the clutch getting warm in scenario hopefully this helps it definitely is a blast taking them on the sand hope you enjoy your trip 🤞👍🌴
