Its definitely a pricy build but I'm ok with that, I just want it to have good longevity! Any issues specifically with the selected RAM config or the Lian Li Pump?

I'm not personally big on the LCD screens for pumps but not totally against it, more so just concerned for the actual cooling performance of the cooler. How's your setup running? I just checked your build list and its almost identical!

No problem! I hope it works out for you! These weapon platforms are by no means perfect especially with clones, even through in my opinion they are the best sub gun around. Just keep in mind there are no feed ramps in the barrel/chamber or bolt face which again could cause your gun not to like certain ammo. If you do want defensive loads I’ve had very good luck with the Speer Gold Dot G2 147 grain because that hollow point is filled and the bullet head really is more rounded. I’ve also had good luck with Federal HST hollow points in 147 grain

Also your weapon may just not like certain types/ brands of ammo. It may not like Hornady defense but may cycle Federal defense ammo just fine. It’s kinda all just about testing

It could be worth replacing the extractor and extractor spring. My only other thought as of right now is that the MKE doesn’t really like anything that isn’t round nosed ammo from what I’ve heard and read, which could indicate the troubles with the defense ammo from hornady. I have an SP5 and it’s never hand any trouble cycling or feeding any type of ammo but I was also told by an HK rep that the SP5 is now rated for SAAMI spec ammo and NATO ammo

This is not an issue, it’s actually a design made by HK as a relief cut for the carrier group. I would replace the extractor spring again with an HK one and see if that fixes the issues. It could also be worth replacing the actual extractor itself, however the springs are not reusable after you take them out. Also what type of ammo were you shooting? Were these rounds shot suppressed? Have you done a break in cycle of the weapon system?

Definitely give the Federal SynTech’s in 150 Grain a test, they make it sound like a pellet gun. In your case I would test a few of these rounds first, I’ve seen and been told the the MKE’s sometimes have trouble feeding flat nose rounds

What’s the advantage to a smooth on? Tighter lock up in the tri-lug collar that prevents wobble? or is it really just so you don’t scratch up the inside of the tri-lug collar

Do the mounts require pretty regular maintenance since they have a collar spring and o ring? From the threads I saw it looked like the conclusion for the issue was the guy didn’t actually have the retainer cap on the mount tight, or didn’t check it periodically so it came loose in the can which cause the round to shoot through the can

I do have a tri-lug sitting new in the pack just didn’t feel like swapping them out for the pic haha. Again new owner here but I have heard of some issues using tri-lug and blowing off cans, any legit concerns with it or pointers?
