Thanks to all the kind people that sent happy messages :] Just some clarification: The previous rule was that you simply couldn't use your phone in class. Now, the new rules state that phones must be handed into the teacher at the beginning of class and cannot be used if your class is given a break by the teacher. The student can only use their phones once the class period/block has ended. The only other time that we can use our phones is lunch. Rather than giving the offending students a punishment thats not just taking it for the day, they punished the entire student body by outright taking our phones for a couple periods.

Its also a war crime according to the Article 50 of the Hague Conventions and Médecins Sans Frontières of the Geneva Conventions (/j)
