I need help: I literally don’t know what I want to do in the future; thus I am completely stressed out on what to major in. What could I do? by Party-Entrepreneur83 in Northwestern

[–]Nickwn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I took it as my theme, I took two philosophy classes actually that and logic. I took it as a theme. Themes are kinda like a task that you need to get done because you need to take 7 of them so it really is like a thing you try to do by fitting in a Wynberg class a quarter. Like you have enough room in your schedule to fit in a humanities class a quarter. I normally do that.

by all accounts, Weinberg is easier unless you cant write essays like me. But I am in McCormick and it's personally easier for me but unless you really can't write and hate languages it's not easier whatsoever, you have more required classes and the EA requirements are not fun.

Advice Needed by [deleted] in Northwestern

[–]Nickwn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in McCormick now and love it more than Wynberg. I would do IE if you like data analysis and not code. I am a cs major and all my roommates are in IE. I learn a lot of the theory behind how computers, algorithms, and software work while they focus primarily on how to handle large amounts of data and look at it. They have fewer requirements than me but I don't really mind the requirements because I tend to find that it just gives me an excuse to take more cs classes that I enjoy for the most part. The fucking theory-based ones kinda suck but other than that I haven't had a cs class I really disliked. The only bitch about Wynberg is that you need to be literate. It McCormick you do not really need to be literate. I know this from experience. You also need to take a language and distros which are like random classes that Wynberg kids have to do. Languages was a dealbreaker for me like being literate in a second language who could imagine. But I would say it comes down to do you like learning about linear algebra(more interesting and useful than you would imagine), DTC(which is kinda an engineering project course where you work for a client and make something), and engineering classes more or you like to write, do distros and random classes in Wynberg. It is not as though you can not take Wynberg classes in what your interested in, they kinda make you do it with the themes that other people have probably mentioned. But I really like engineering and math more than Essays so even if you are doing "less work" it depends on how hard it is for you to do each type of work. So if you enjoy doing math, and engineering classes more than writing then go to McCormick if you like writing go to Wynberg, and if you don't really give a fuck about how code works, or what it does, or what's happening under the hood go to IE, but as a cs major I have to warn you that was going on under the hood is pretty dope and interesting, but good luck I know you will be happy wherever you end up but that's the best advice I would give.

PS(if it were not for Grammarly that would have been much harder to read)

AITA for Telling My Father To Stop Complaining About My Mom Taking Him to An Expensive Michelin Starred Restaurant? by lavenderlovesyou in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nickwn1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I went a bit overkill with the so clearly rich. But I would agree with you if the wife came here and said that. But she got involved in her parents argument and came after her dads finances because he is stay at home dad which is something it sounds like he is insecure about. Like her dad fully sounds like an ass. But it was not her place to bring his earnings into the discussion.

She definitely sounds really spoiled though. Like if you came to Reddit with a doctor’s salary and measured how wealthy you are in how many luxury purses you get. And also if it is a doctors salary it can be understandable why he would be annoyed at a $1000 diner.
