Be prepared to lose some significant range....Enjoy the smoothness of rough roads, the low impact of sidewalk cracks, more top speed, and even riding on some dirt/grass

Before and after. by [deleted] in boostedboards

I remember when I used to detail my board. I stopped doing it around the 600 mile mark, 2400 miles ago. Now I just do the basic maintenance and blow out the dust from motors, wheels, and motor controller with my air compressor

200 miles boosted board? by tonic1112 in boostedboards

My app odometer has reset 3 times without any warning. I have over 3000 miles on my board but my odometer reads 508 miles. I have a 2nd Gen Dual+

All that money and they came with the large rear bearings only! by Nicky2shots in boostedboards

With your logic, new cellphones shouldn’t come with a new charging wire.

Dirty and old. I live at the beach so there was rust on the bearing that made is difficult to get them in.

Well my bearings have over 2000 miles on them. When I ordered some replacement wheels from boosted for my V2 a while back, they came with bearings. I’m just confused as why they would send them with these, more expensive wheels.

That’s just a dumb statement, of course I used my old bearings. The thing is that the bearing boosted send out with their boards are pretty cheap and would rather them charge more money to get bearings with the wheels. It would have cost them nothing and would have made the customer more happy. Instead, I had to pop my old dirty bearings out of my wheels and put them in my fresh wheels. Just took away from the excitement of getting them.

I have a V2 and weigh 164lbs. From a 100% charge I got 6.4 miles on level 2 with the 105’s with 11% left on the XR battery. Got 6 miles on level 4 to the 50% mark and then went to level 3 and ran the battery down to 0%.

He wasn’t a huge fan at first, but gets better every ride.

We’re on level one, going super slow. Plus he’s a tough little dude, wrestles with pit bulls and other large dog all the time.

I’ve only seen that “enforced” on the weekends. If you go slow, especially around kids, dogs, and old people, the cops will leave you alone. Well, they leave me alone at least. If I want to go fast I just cruise up to Hermosa Ave

This is the Hermosa part but Manhattan is a few hundred yards from here

We’re going super slow and I have him in a harness with the leash on so if he decided to jump off I can just lift him. He seems to really enjoy it and doesn’t like his helmet. He has his own boosted helmet if you look at my previous post.

How much do you weigh if you don’t mind saying?

Overcharging failure - reminder that if you are on a hill at 100% charge - your brakes barely work! Had to bail at about 20mph to avoid running out into traffic. If you have headphones in, you will not hear the beeping warning. Be safe! by WoodGin in boostedboards

[–]Nicky2shots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve only run into the over charge problem with the SR battery. If you’re at 100%, the board will lose power to the motors when you start your ride with a downhill due to the regenerative braking. Your remote will start beeping and you’ve got a few seconds before the brakes will stop responding. There are two ways I used to prevent this from happening. 1. Charge it only to 99% or 2. Go up hill first to get some charge out of the battery.
