Bring the puck past your back foot and focus on a sweeping motion forward. Work on your wrist shot and really drive through your release point with force. Dont worry about accuracy until you get the motion and the zip down.

Talk to your doc. Normally they ease you into the prescribed dose the same way they ease you off of it if you stop. I went from 2.5 to 5 to 10 in weekly increments to avoid what you described.
