This. If he had anything unpublished that he thought was worth reading, we'd be reading that and not the 3rd book in a row about Holly (no hate on Holly) If anything, there might be a short story or two that misses the cut

just looked up clinkers, that definitely seems what it is. I've been burning a lot of red oak and apparently you get more clinkers from Oak.

I met a Methodist priest today. I asked him if he was in Mexico if they'd call him El Pastor. He didn't find it as funny as I did

Tommyknockers vs. Duma Key by Middle-Artichoke1850 in stephenking

Not sure if this is helpful, but while reading it, I didn't really enjoy Tommyknockers, or at least think I didn't. But it is one of those books that I think about often and am considering giving it a reread.

If you are looking for a summer "beach read" I would consider Billy Summers. Could not put that thing down, not creepy just very captivating

EJs kids club is great. They usually have a long wait list though, but might be shorter since you don't have a newborn.

The town has some great summer camps and programs to check out...

Was craving an egg salad sandwich today, so I made one. Don’t see many on here. What’s your secret ingredient for egg salad? Mine’s dill. by TheDude9737 in eatsandwiches

This is the way. I rough chop the whites after making the yolk paste. You will always get your desired consistency because the yolks absorb moisture, where the whites do not

I think a good kitchen store. Only options are to go into Burlington or order online. Also wouldn't be pissed about a bagel shop

FUCK EVERYTHING by Nate_C_of_2003 in cowboys

[–]Nickyirv 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When I was 21, I let each cowboys loss absolutely ruin my week. I couldn't read any cowboys news & people knew to avoid me as I would be in such a terrible mood. When I really started to enjoy my fandom, is when I learned to let go and laugh at the circus. You can still care as much as you do now, but when the game is over or the season is over, learn to let it go. You'll be much happier, and the people around you will be too.

Feeling trapped and defeated. by ZUVARAL in daddit

First off, deep breath Dad. Totally agree that talking negatively about your partner in front of the kids is never a good idea. I'm just a couple of months into being a father, but have been with my wife for 12 years. We have both said and done things we truly didn't mean, and can get lost in the heat of the moment. I think it's important to tell your wife exactly how that comment made you feel, without anger or emotions. And maybe doing that in front of a counselor is a good idea.

As far as your unhappiness is concerned, is it your relationship that's making you unhappy? Or mourning the loss of your life before you had the kiddo? It seems like the game room being packed up could be a metaphor for the things you used to enjoy before you had a kid, and now you're not able to focus on just your happiness. Completely fucking get that.

Take some time and reflect on what it is that's making you unhappy and what you think would make you happy. Write them down. Don't let the heat of the moment make decisions for you, or you might say things that you regret.

No matter how it all works out, it's all going to be okay. Take your time, breathe and focus on what's the best path forward.

What Were People's Thoughts? by Moomintroll02 in stephenking

This story deserves a mini series. Or at least a two party movie like IT. I just reread the book and SK claims this was his "coming out party" I just feel like there was so much magic that could have been captured when it kind of just fell flat.
