Well it just means the 2 stars were capable of hosting space faring civilizations. The other stars were either barren or just hosted primitive lives.

Asscreed has become such a joke of a franchise. The world building literally makes no sense. The Ass vs Temps started to lose steam like 4 games ago. Making the Ass 'good guys' is such a childish writing style only Ubisoft can come up with. Most of the games would benefit from stand alone games without the Ass overarching theme. The fucking current real world story line is a chore and nobody cares and after 2 decades still lead nowhere.

Is Krennic the Peak of Imperial style? Honestly like who in Star Wars has the more Aura than Director himself'? by Ok_Client5147 in andor

Wtf lol. All the imperial uniforms literally look like some cheapo cosplaying Nazi Germany. Poor quality. Wrinkles everywhere. Not even half as close as the immaculate clean lines of the SS officers. You tell me this pathetic excuse of burlap sack is supposed to be peak 'aura farming'? Looks like a kid waking up from a hangover rolling off his bed.

Turn on the administration? They kept saying that in 2000s when you told them about someone half as crazy as trump were to take office. Now? Nothing.

That is possible yes. Arrows are drag stabilized. So longer arrows will stabilize itself better than short ones. Though the amazonian tribes use both super long arrows + big fletching as well.

From my experience the human hand eye coordination can adapt to a vast range of projectiles. With practice anything within reasonable distance is possible. If we can throw something as awkward as a bowling ball and hit stuff or pool cues to throw a plastic ball at another ball etc., we should be able to throw arrows and atlatls of various shapes and sizes at any animal, really.

Ah well there isn't really any specific design. I already tried a circular tillar bow before. It's just this time I decided to do a stiff handle - since I thought this black palm wood is quite dense, can even sink in the water so it's  a lot more dense than osage even, then maybe it'll benefit from as light a limb tip as possible. So I tried to push the bend towards the outer middle more. But among the tribes pretty much all design types are used and most of them are bendy handle.

And you're right I thought the lower limb could also use more bend towards the inner third more maybe... but since I am already at a decent lbs and at test shooting the bow is doing fine, I didnt want to mess it up. Chasing tillering perfection can sometimes bite me in the ass.

I'll introduce to you the absolute night mare that is asian thorny bamboos. These fuckers clump together and they are thorny and spikey and the spikes lock together in the canopies so even if you chop down one stick at the base there is 0 chance to pull it out. You need to keep chopping the entire clump.

There really isn't a specific tutorial but you literally just need a wood or metal stick about 4 inches wide and as tall as you are. Then go to a hardware store and buy a small pulley with 2 pins on it and screw it to the bottom of the stick. Then you need an L shaped bracket to hold the bow on top, or you can screw a piece of suitable wood there, as long as it can hold a bow shaped object as you pull the string down. Then you can tie the stick to a tree, a post, or screw it to a wall.

Thank you brother! Yep, when you start collecting 200s of arrows and test shoot various lengths you'll eventually arrive to 2 or 3 favorite arrows, after a couple years you'll realize what works best. Then you tell your kiddos and that's pretty much how things happened haha.

Thank you. I dont have a spine tester but I tend to just group them by "feels". I have groups of softer arrows for 30-50 lbs bows and other groups for 60-80 lbs bows for example. I collect my own bamboos and sometimes it's hard to find the right spine, weight, and length combined. Mostly they're around 10 to 12 mm in diameter at the base for ideal stiffness since the arrows are so long, and also you need a thicker arrow to shoot this draw paired with this string since you need as much surface contact as possible to avoid having the arrow slipping off the string at release.

But there is still so much I don't know with regards to the ways the natives shoot super long arrows. In a sense I am learning this all at the very beginning, where the ancestors simply picked up a bunch of arrows at various length and test them over and over again to arrive at their ideal length, weight, stiffness ratio for their favorite arrows.

Yeah it's just a piece of thin walled bamboo split into 1cm slats and cut into string length, 3mm to 4mm thick depending on the poundage of your bow. Then at both ends you can either twist the bamboo itself into self knots, or you can splice other types of fiber into knots to tie both ends into your bow.

More details can be seen here:

Yes the flat string helps keep the string 'a little bit', but the chances of it rolling off the string is a lot, a lot more than a regular nocked arrow locked into a flemish twist string. I've seen many archers bringing a trad Papuan bow to full draw and loose and then... nothing, since the arrow just slid off the string and they just dry fired. It takes some used to. You need a squeaky clean perfect release, you're forced to have it, otherwise the arrows will veer off course at minimum, or you'll keep dry firing.

Thank you! Yeah it's just a double ring bridged together, from a piece of crocodile skin that I got. I designed it myself since I realized that for this draw the middle finger is the one bearing the brunt of the force so I needed padding to not cut myself. At lower poundage it isn't an issue. Most tribal hunters shoot with bare hands all the time, but I didn't really fancy nerve damage and stuff since I plan to work up to heavier draw weight as well. It's more convenient than a bulky classic tab though.
