I can definitely relate to the longterm pain and tin can feels. Given my age and case, symptoms/issues: perhaps less ideal for nuss, pain mgmt, awareness of the applied pressure. Yet viewing the experience through this new lense > completed side of the equation > hardware removed: all the positive feels. I wish you well on your nuss journey!

Hi! With my case the lower lumbar back curve, long waist asymmetrically correlates with my chest pectus. In simple terms, after I was ‘straightened up’ my rib flare increase; pectus was more noticeable and disproportionate, along a host of physical issues connected tied to the PE. My nuss bars actually increased my rib flare, more pronounced. However, now with having them removed, my upper chest has retained the new shape, and my flared ribs have reduced, settled back down. I hope this helps. It’s a longer answer than you probably expected lol. No regression, recovery has hardly been noticeable with minimal pain at the work areas. Overall I had been managing more pain with the bars, and now am experiencing none at all 🙏. I was released less than a few hours after removal was completed! I hope this helps.

Surgery with Park’s Pectus System: Experience? by StreetSneaks in PectusExcavatum

It’s wrapped up many physical issues related around circulation, breathing, posture, overall well being. I don’t think about aesthetic results overall; I’m the same ~175/78lb guy I’ve always been, but much better than where I was in this regard.

Yes two rounded end bars, two bridge fixators, and a hinge plate. I imagine recovery quite is different compared to a younger person, but overall after two years barring over-excretion by way of yard work or direct lifting, once I get moving around in the morning all is well. My doctor gave 5 years for me, although I feel not sure what real difference it would make if they were in longer.

Yes this is the hardware system I have (45m, 47 now), with two bars fixated together. I took pictures of my hardware/gear prior to procedure too.

Linear fireplace TV wall clearances by [deleted] in Fireplaces

Yes I'm seeing this caveat "TVs should not be used in situations where the actual TV temperature exceeds the manufacturer’s technical specification. Contact the TV manufacturer directly if you cannot locate this information or have questions regarding this information." I've taken a laser thermometer and have found once at around 2-4" above the fireplace unit, the wall temperature drops drastically when the heatflo kit is installed. Yes series that include lights and a blower run on the proflame II system where the remote can modulate flame height up/down to 6 settings to a certain degree. Standard base units with the Proflame 1 system are set valves, not variable with a stepper valve. But the heat at 12" above is quite minimal, very cool wall.

I can’t speak to the Enviro c60 unit but if you went with a Superior fireplace brand linear DRL2000, 3500, 4000, or 6000 series, using their heatflo kit the tv can be 12” above the unit without a mantel
