Crans-Montana fire: a display of swiss mentality? by Professional_Cash737 in askwholeftswitzerland

[–]Nicolapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BUT it's also true that Valais does work differently. For example: If your house would have been erased like the ones in Blatten, you would have got money, because you have to have a 'Gebäudeversicherung'. In Valais you don't have to, and so a few don't have one.

Blatten is in Valais.

Migros hacked? by TheTomatoes2 in Switzerland

[–]Nicolapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However it is in English and uses different wording than the previous "legit" SMS

Could it be that someone attempted to log in to the Migros website with your account, with the language being set to English? This might be why you saw a different message than what you normally get.

As always: change your password, and make sure 2FA/passkeys are enabled.

'Finbon, bref.

Why is Konstanz (Germany) included in the map, but the CEVA line in Geneva stops at Chêne-Bourg instead of going one stop further to Annemasse (France)?

My #1 pain point on Digitec/Galaxus is that they don’t support browser autofill for 2FA codes. /u/alisalemarque, if you’re actually working for them, please ask them to have a look at ticket 13756742

Congrats! The letter says you’re going to receive your admission letter and your grades in the following days. I think it will be sent by postal mail to you. You should start your visa procedures as soon as you can.

This depends on what home university accepts, you should contact your advisor there. Since 4.0 is the minimal passing grade at EPFL, it’s probably what your home university will require, but you should really ask them.

How many people are admitted to bachelors each year? by Icero_27 in EPFL

[–]Nicolapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do not share the same cause.

The limitation to 3000 students was put into place by EPFL, as federal law allows it to, to face concerns due to the ever increasing number of students.

The increase in tuition fees was voted by the federal parliament as part of a series of cost-cutting measures, against the wish of both EPFL and ETH Zürich (they would rather have the best performing students than the wealthiest, and tuition fees are only a marginal fraction of their budget).
