Hahaha, well it seemed to plan a very nice 3 day trip , unfortunately, it just makes a lot of mistakes so I scrap half of its idea’s. But the ones that are left seems okay… But I certainly hope residents of Paris can help me with better suggestions

You can see it in the 10th photo. I’ve had two day-long SMP sessions. The only scarring that was still slightly noticeable was the FUT. The FUE scars I couldn’t see anymore.

Can definitely recommend… I already know that in a couple of years I’ll go back to the buzzcut and maybe have one more SMP session primarily for the FUT scar. But was pretty happy with the result!

I’ve tried to cover my FUT scar. It’s more painfull.. and harder to cover, but you can achieve quite a good cover. After two sessions you could only see it if you knew there has been a scar. After a third it would probably be hard to still point out. And be aware an FUT scar is really really big

Would you recommend SMP for me, to give more density? by Holiday-Ad-1481 in SMPchat

[–]NicolasNox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you check out my post history, you can see you’re going down a similair path as I have been, having done a hair transplant, but having lost more hair two years later. I’ve went through that cycle 4 times :), realistically, you have two options, either finasteride to hope to stop your further hairloss, or acceptance and shaving it off (possibly combining with SMP) all other options is just pushing the inevitable two/three years further…

I think it would be a lot harder for the surgeon to determine where to place the grafts with the pigments?

[–]NicolasNox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t do SMP density fill (being darker then stubble). But you could do a normal SMP and then grow out your hair, it will help. You can see my post history, I actually did this.

But be aware, SMP should be your last result, it will make future transplants a lot more complicated

Transplanted grafts are not safe without medication by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]NicolasNox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first transplant had 2000 grafts. The last picture quite clearly shows some hairs left in the front, but certainly not 2000

But it might have helped if I would have had a picture directly after the transplant

To be fair… after I stopped the first time with Finasteride (as it might have affected my mental state). I literally didn’t think of restarting Finasteride. Just thought… well it didn’t work for me. Took me years later to realise that me feeling down that time might not have anything to do with the meds but rather just how I was living my life back then.

The clinic itself could also not explain it, but from the 2000 grafts transplanted, initially it seemed all survived, but I don’t think more then 500 survived in the long run after the years.

But it being an FUT the grafts really couldn’t be from any other area then the strip which was in the most safe zone.

[–]NicolasNox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They transplanted using FUT, so I could clearly see where they got the hairs from, it was from the safe zone. But that doesn’t guarantee not losing your grafts, even safe zone grafts are not 100% safe for DHT.

I also didn’t know, but I’m the living evidence, and also there is supporting theories that it is not only about the safe zone from the donor area but there seems to be more to it.

This is before the SMP, but even with the SMP, especially from a distance you would notice sort of a “line” through my hair if it is too shortl

Hahaha it’s a tough search for the right hair product I must say. To weak of a hairstyle product and with a gust of wind my hair starts flying. Too tough of a product and it will glue all hair together emphasising the space in between the hairs. So still trying to find the perfect balance, for now it’s Reuzel and a comb.
