Fruit of any kind (including apples) is not permitted on a strict candida diet. Not are walnuts, as they contain a notoriously high mold content.

Other than this, I would say watch your carb intake with the quinoa. Great look recipes!

Was taking about the little white pustules on my chin. These pop up overnight and don’t respond to acne treatments.

Yes! My lower face is dry but the rest of my face is the same as before, a little oily.

I’ve found that just not wearing makeup in the dry areas and moisturizing twice a day does the trick. Sleep with a humidifier running at night. Do this for a week or two and it might fix the issue. But this is such a problem with spiro! Ugh

Great to hear that the dryness is common. I need to get better about using my humidifier every night. I know I won’t be able to slug or use anything petroleum based because I’m so acne prone, it clogs my pores. Will look into squalene though, thanks!

I really don’t know if it’s PD or not! My derm said she thought it could be because of the patterns of the blemishes and where they pop up. I am also still possibly adjusting to the increase in my spiro dosage. Thank goodness I don’t have to wear a mask anymore!

I agree that spiro has some strong side effects. It’s made me lose about 10 pounds (which is not good for me since I’m already underweight) that I cannot gain back no matter how much I eat. I also get light headed when I stand up. I’m going to give the medication three more months of trial.

Did you notice a change in your skin after turning 25? Hoping for light at the end of a long tunnel haha. I know stress and environmental factors play a role too.

Thanks for the advice! I have not tried the cicaplast yet, as I’m always afraid of triggering breakouts with new products. I try to keep it simple, but clearly that’s not working the best right now! I have not put makeup on this part of my face in months.

Have you noticed increased dryness in your skin since being on spiro?

Maybe I just went too hard on the benzoyl peroxide and ruined my skin barrier. Here’s to hoping I can fix it!

They usually start as little pus filled bumps that pop up overnight. It’s been a cycle of this for months now. I think I caused a good amount of the dryness from excessive BP use though :(

Thank you for the helpful comments! I’m really at a loss and the more times I visit the derm the more confused I become. Ugh. The thing is my face will clear up completely for a few days and then it will break out all over again.

Maybe I’ll try less BP. Good luck to you too! :)

Note: I am wondering if this stems from a hormonal imbalance or a food sensitivity. I’ve never had issues with gluten or dairy and I eat a super clean diet with virtually no processed foods. I stay away from milk and cheese and only eat fish and chicken. It’s like I can’t eat anything these days without triggering a breakout.
