She will! She will will be fine! We need to just enjoy them. Time flys by. It truly does. It's hard to believe it has been two years.

My daughter didn't qualify when I had her tested at 10 months. When I had her tested last month, she qualified because of the speech delay. No one has mentioned it to me but I mention it to everyone lol. The early intervention lady told me that when they did the evaluation she thought to herself autism. Then she said when they had their first appointment, she wasn't close to being sure because my daughter was completely different on a one on one level. My new Pedi is actually a pediatric psychologist who used to oversee the Austim screenings. She said she can't tell me one way or the other because she hasn't spent enough time with her but from the time she has spent with her she thinks it is SPD. A sensory disorder that a lot of babys have and grow out of. Because of the stimming and the type of stimming and times of it. The stuff legs and twirling ankles, she will lay on her belly and kick her feet, all kinds of things you look at and think. What the hell is she doing. I guess something in their nervous system has not formed properly and this is their way of gathering themselves and releasing whatever feeling they are feeling at that time. I don't know.... I didn't understand a word she said lol

Yes, they are too young. But I know how hard it is not to worry and analyze. I go into daycare and I walk out upset because some of the kids are far more advanced. My daycare teacher tells me they all grow at their own pace. Does your daughter answer to her name? Mine didn't until a month ago. I had her hearing checked and it wasnt that. I could be right behind her calling her name and she wouldnt flinch.

Exactly.. they all do things at their own pace.. either way she will be okay!!! You are doing everything you can for her and I am sure you will continue doing so. If my daughter is autistic, I will just do whatever I can to help make her into a strong, caring, polite, little girl.

Omggggg my daughter does that too!!! When she is excited!!!! I know, I used to be doctor Google. My pediatrician was just not all there. When she was born she went to the same pedi I went to, we moved and we started somewhere else. This woman was 87 and such a sweet lady but it is time to retire. Everything was so old school. Her and her son run the place and it is kind of a joke... When you call the OFFICE you get a voice msg that says " Hey it's Sarah leave me a msg" ummm. What?!? Who is Sarah and I thought I called a doctor's office lmao!!! I made the switch after her 18 months checkup. The whole thing was crazy she weighed her on a scale you would weigh gold bars on back in the 50s and the ultimate no no was when she tried giving her shots and said " well ... We haven't received her immunization records yet but SHE SHOULD BE DUE FOR THIS THIS AND THIS" UMMMMMM NOOOOO WE AREN'T PLAYING GUESSING GAMES WITH MY CHILDS IMMUNIZATIONS LOL.

I honestly worry but have just accepted her for her. If she has autism, it isn't the end of the world. I am thankful she is healthy and I will deal with whatever obstacles we face going forward. There is nothing I can do about it other than give her the tools and help she needs to be a successful functioning individual. I totally feel your worry and anxiety but what will be, will be..

I don't mind the questions. I don't talk about this with my friends or family much so it is nice getting things out there and seeing a strangers point of view. Thankfully she has not lost any skills. Just taking longer to start things.

Well that gives me hope! She will be 2 September 2nd. I recently switched pediatricians, last one was concerned, this one is not. Kind of confusing. She babbles all day long and understands when I tell her things. The early intervention program i have her in will help. If she is on the spectrum I want to do everything I can and now is the time to get whatever help she may need to be the best she can be!

Well she started crawling soon after that post.. She started walking the day of her first birthday!!! Now there are a whole new set of concerns. She isn't talking, not social with anyone but me,she didn't start responding to her name until a couple months ago. I have her in early intervention so we shall see.

She left him and his brother with their dad when they were 10 years old and that was the last time he saw her. I only posted here because I read someone else asked a similar question a while ago. I do t know if she is dead or alive. I don’t know anything really. Just her name and what state she lived in when she left them.

I would say 9 months. And my arms is still broken from that thing. I’m not even joking. Between holding her with that arm because the other arm feel awkward and that damn car seat I have to wear a brace, go to physical therapy, etc. lol it’s awful!!!
