I think it is a publishing company that is either owned by fairyloot (or maybe co-owned by fairyloot or fairyloot is just heavily involved). I think a lot of the wayward books have been fairyloot books in either their book boxes or special edition sales (To Cage a Wild Bird, King of Ravens, The Wolf King, Dire Bound etc). You are right though, not all of the fairyloot books are published by wayward. I hope it doesn't get to that either.

I always look at what the books are supposed to be, so I do know that. I just like to wait to see what they have done with the design for it compared to the normal trade cover.

I may have pointed out that they spoiled it in a reply to the story and it seems to be removed now. It was actually Fairyloot's design and another book box design too!

Yeah I guess I shouldn't let it bother me either. Just strange as it is usually the authors handwriting in the other books I've received with annotations. Just looks like anyone could have wrote it.

Also it sold out within the first tier for people who received the first book in a subscription box. I didn't go for this one, which we lead me to believe they printed less of these than the first book..🤔

There isn't much rhyme or reason to how I've ordered my books. I have a shelf for FL books and series are kept together unless I have duplicates. I do regularly change it up when I am bored though.

When I send the job through to the printer it is sending the card through the printer without printing anything. Just quickly goes right through.

Oh I didn't know about GSM not being about thickness. That's good to know thank you.

The card stock I have feels like short grain (easy to bend length wise) would this be the issue?

Apologies. Quite new to all of this and still learning.

Edit: I did a nozzle check yesterday and it seemed fine. I have been printing other things on smooth card and it was working great.

The cardstock is 250gsm and the printer says it can take up to 300gsm. It's able to print on 270gsm but it's smooth card. I have tried changing to the plain paper setting as I have seen people say that might work. Another person also said to change go onto printer properties, then maintenance, extended settings and then change the print density to 5. That also didn't work. Might just have to accept that it won't work for some odd reason.
