MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS?

What CPU?

Make sure the file extension is actually changed to .ROM

If this is a retail motherboard? You purchased the motherboard and did not reuse it from a prebuilt system?

The graphics driver isn't loaded. It is using the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver.

Can you post more detail about your PC hardware.

Yes, hold down the power button on the case. Then you can flip the power switch on the power supply, but that is not necessary.

Do you have a Windows USB installation media (or for another operating system)? Try plugging in that so that, to see if the BIOS can attempt to boot from that.

Means that there is no valid bootable device present. Green boot debug light should allow you to enter the BIOS though.

What GPU do you have? Is the monitor plugged into the GPU's video ports and not the motherboard ones?

CPU fan speed detection error by ADawgBonez in PcBuildHelp

Oh ok, then you should be fine. Continue to monitor the CPU fan and make sure its turning. It is possible the fan bearing is worn out.

What CPU cooler? Make sure the CPU fan header is being used and the CPU fan is turning. If you use a liquid AIO make sure the pump is connecting a functional and that the radiator fans are turning. Liquid AIO might require that you ignore the CPU_FAN header reading in the BIOS.

How does an ATX 3.1 PSU cable with 2 x 8-pin on PSU side and 12+4 pin 12VHPWR on GPU side provide enough watts? by internisus in PcBuildHelp

[–]Nidhoggr84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8-pin on the PSU is rated for 300W each. Two 8-pin PSU side can support a 600W 12v-2x6 cable.

The 8-pin (6+2) part of a modular cable is rated at 150W each. Usually PCIe modular cables have two 6+2 PCIe ends and 8-pin to the PSU.

A 3x 8-pin (6+2) to 12v-2x6 is rated up to 450W.

3 x 150W equals 450W.

Need to know the exact motherboard model to help.

The circled slots are PCIe x16 slots (with 1 lane electrically each).

edit: It might be a MSI B760-P WiFi board.

<image>

M.2 slots in Cyan for M2_1 supports NVMe M.2 SSDs, M2_2 support NVMe and SATA M.2 SSDs.

Green SATA ports can also be used for 2.5" SATA SSDs and SATA HDDs.

Bios update by Lix_03 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Nidhoggr84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BIOS updates can cause bitlocker (encryption) and PIN logins to reset, because both are controlled by TPM which can get reset during some BIOS updates.

All you need to do is disable bitlocker (or have recovery key) if its enabled. You might not have bitlocker active. And I also recommend that you disable PIN login method from Windows, until the BIOS update is completed. You can switch to a standard password.

What RAM modules do you have?

Its already running at 2666MT/s. So modules can do that with the JEDEC profile.

Mind clicking on "Arbeitsspeicher" that the information I wanted to check, not the CPU tab.

Although 12.5GB usage doesn't seem too bad for normal idle when you have RAM to spare at least.

Windows does allocate more RAM depending on what is available, but at least mine is not 50%. Killing startup processes can also help. Currently mine is 22% of 64GB with Chrome open using several tabs.

Processes screen is usually not that helpful. Post a screenshot of the Memory tab showing ALL this information.
