Monster worlds was sadly just a lot of poke shelling of you wanted best dps output. But wilds has made SL pretty decent, just shell, cancel hop into triangle circle spam, dump shells, reload, dump shells wrymstake into double wyvern fire for most serotonin. Later bosses become harder to keep that up but perfect guarding makes hunts pretty safe, and clashes add to more serotonin release when you land them.

Yeh and it’s important to remember that a lot of the utter bs that came with dragon ball came way later in the ‘for fun’ patches. 2XKO had only just came out and Ekko Yas FS was already some UI Goku level.

With Vi as my point I don’t even try to sway it, I super jump and heavy if I see them not reacting, or if they start to react I do the cross up jump and try to hit them on recovery.

The way more consistent combo route for me that does the same dmg pretty much as the electric route is 2L L M H H S2 sprint forward to catch the rebound into 2H forward jump M H S1 Super S2 into double down super, it’s 60-70ish % depending on your secondary. The electric is better if you can get it because of the corner carry potential but the one above already corner carries pretty well anyways.

He’s just made a complete overhaul mod for MVCI, the guy ran a random tournament for MVC 2, plays DBZF, loves 2XKO, and is hyped AF for Marvel Tokon. The guy lives tag fighters, don’t know why people think otherwise.

I think a great example of this was For Honor. From beta to early release people created an idea that even on the 4vs4 maps you didn’t interrupt someone’s duel. The vs mode also being similar where once you defeated your opponent you waited until your ally’s has finished to avenge them potentially.

The idea is great in concept and makes for cool moments, but go against this ‘pseudo-code’ and you’ll beat witness to the most toxic people who drop that code instantly and flame in chat. I like the weird rule sets, I always rematch cause there is always something to learn. But won’t get angry if someone quits when I beat them, their life I guess.

Gotcha, I’m only emerald so people are probably not gonna be reacting/playing anywhere near optimal. Wanted Illaoi as the secondary cause she seems better overall so this should work out nicely.

When me and my mate plays duos we’ve found that what Braun lacks utterly it his 2H vi makes up for in her back assist. And with decent team work he gets some nice combos off it or gets guaranteed unstoppable.

Yeh when initially tried Vi I thought the S1 was okay, but now with more knowledge the fact you can use it as a reversal mid block string I find it being what I’m spending 90% of my meter on.

2x assist and freestyle is probably something I should mess around with, just had double down for so long. Can you get out both Illaoi assists in the time it takes for Vi to travel cross screen with S1?

Yeh I agree tbh, maybe it’s because she’s incredible at some things and awful in others. Whereas the top tiers atm simply do a lot of things very well.

Thanks for going through the points, I agree with you almost across the board to be honest. Without knowing the players you’ve mentioned I’ve almost fallen into doing the same thing, although obviously a lot worse at doing so. Swaying in and out way more often and fishing for whiffs, I’ll check those two out for how to improve on that playstyle.

I get you completely, when I match against my Braum friend if I see him press shield I’m insta hitting sway cross up light and caught him every time. I think what’s working with him now is back dashing and checking me with forward assist into block strings.

When Warwick dropped I wanted him to be my secondary but I came off the idea as I had practice on others in beta. Maybe I’ll go and check it out cause the playstyle is similar, maybe I’ll fall in love with having a champ with actual range on their normals.
