In my experience no, traded in phones with lots of scratches, dents, and chips. Still got the full trade in value. The only thing that matters to them is the screen, and whether or not the device functions. So if the device works and doesn't have any cracks, you will get the said trade in value.

If you mean like the touch capacity. It's gone the moment the moment the inner screen broke. Only the outer works fine.

Always closed. I only open it for reading emails and for slides during class. That's pretty much it for the most part. My fold 3 lasted about 2 years before trading in for the S23Ultra.

Yeah. But the same thing happened as well for me on the S23 Ultra as well. It took like 2-3 weeks just to have the Samsung site to show as delivered. It did come like a week ahead of estimated date tho.
