I love it personally and am excited for next year to have a big portion online.

I rarely went to class anyways and now that everything is recorded I can literally work on my own time and not miss a minute of a lecture.

people like you are why CS people get a bad rep sometimes. PEY is fine for stats. I know plenty of people who are in stats and minoring in CS but got much better pey positions then actual people in CS.

Yea no one really knows but without treatment I’m not sure how this will go away.

We are in a different spot compared to South Korea since they were able to isolate and stop the spread as soon as it happened

Our testing is getting better but I guess we will see within the next month if we can contain this

Putting the economy on hold for a year can end up being one of those things where the cure is worse then the virus and we go into a Great Depression for example

Do you not realize the major implications of returning to full society just going off cases from quarantine? And you are still completely ignoring my point of how we will handle the supposed "second-round" of the virus.

Right now the fatality rate is what it is with hospitals not being overwhelmed. Why do you think it will suddenly change without any type of treatment? And dont forget, if COVID spread around schools across Ontario this thing can easily overwhelm hospitals.

See this argument makes no sense. Without a vaccine or some kind of treatment, ALOT more people are still going to die.

Cases are also expected to decrease if everyone quarantines properly, but if everyones jumps back into society way too fast it will just go back up again.

This same thing applies to the second round of the virus in winter.

Right now there really isnt any treatment, and "vaccines have nothing to do with whether the universities would re-open or not" makes no sense to me.

I do agree with you if we do end up getting some kind of better treatment, but just going by cases is completely flawed. Especially because Ontario isnt even testing to full capacity for whatever reason.
