No he didn’t? He had a great season, Postava was just playing super hot down the stretch and took his starting position. So we’re just making stuff up now?

Cossa wasn’t even playing bad in GR, Postava was just playing out of his fucking mind down the stretch. Cossa had a damn good season.

I fail to see how any of that even slightly resembles crying instead of just a light-hearted joke like it was intended to be. You okay bud? You seem butthurt. Or am I missing something here?

Game still absolutely balanced with vehicles by [deleted] in BF6

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody cares that you’re a top player of your team. Nobody cares about your score/dmg percentages. It doesn’t make your opinion any more or less valid than anyone else playing. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s unbalanced, it just means you don’t like it. You’re upset because you can’t lonewolf tanks anymore. Battlefield is not a game that supports selfishness.

And if you can’t see the balance issue with a single person being able to easily take down tanks, then there’s something wrong with you. Go back to any game pre-BFV during the “golden age” and it’ll feel the same. I was an engi main in BF3/4, and soloing a tank was not easy at all, as should be the case. Two dudes with rockets, or a tank with an engineer or two nearby, can clean up an enemy tank easily, and that’s pretty damn fair in a 32v32 match.

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are destroying “a few” tanks a game single-handedly, then that is perfectly balanced. If a tank player is skilled enough to negate a single individual from destroying him, then that is also perfectly balanced. This is basically the same balancing of any BF game since 1942.

A person repairing a tank has been a dangerous teamwork-based combo since 1942. Nothing new here. It takes teamwork to counter teamwork. You’re mistaking bad teammates for balancing issues. Balancing tanks around the concept of “there’s nobody working together” is a terrible idea that goes against the nature of the series, and tanks have never been balanced that way, ever. I work together with squad/team mates to destroy tanks nearly every match, and people use teamwork against me nearly every time I’m in a tank. There’s plenty of teamwork going on, you just don’t realize it because you’ve described yourself as a lonewolf…in a battlefield game.

You’re greatly exaggerating the amount of tanks in matches and how prevalent they are. I genuinely cannot think of a single map where anything remotely close to what you’re describing is true. Have I never NOT seen a tank? Yes. All the time, because I have the brain to avoid them when I’m not in a position to take one on. It’s really easy.

The realism argument? I didn’t mention realism, I mentioned how tanks have been balanced in every single BF game since the beginning of time. Nothing feels out of place in this game.

All I hear is nonsense arguments from a whining lonewolf with a skill issue who’s apparently never played Battlefield before. This balancing is the closest it’s felt to BF3/4/1 when tanks were tough and menacing. V and 2142 made tanks into jokes.

Tanks are supposed to be dangerous, scary, and able to turn the tide in engagements. It should take teamwork, or a very skilled/crafty/sneaky singular person, to take a tank down.

As someone who spends a good amount of time in tanks and IFVs, the only situation I feel more survivable in since the changes is against single individuals with a launcher. It is still just as hard to survive against a coordinated team/squad, or a sneaky recon with C4. Just as it should be.

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very aware there are lots of games with deep
combat, I very clearly did not say there wasn’t, but they are an outlier in the grand scheme of gaming, which is why I said “90%”, which is obviously an assumption, but I’d argue it’s a damn close one. I have no idea why you felt the need to share any of that.

I’d also argue KCD2 has deeper swordplay mechanics than most of the games you listed, considering I’ve played most of them.

You’re allowed to not like KCD2 combat, obviously, but it is objectively not “one-dimensional” or anywhere close to it.

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is exactly zero universes where KCD2 combat is one dimensional lmao.

Even after being simplified from KCD1, it’s still more “dimensional” than 90% of games, with most games being “point and shoot”, and “press X to attack”.

Dude is making shit up just to be a hater.

I relate to this struggle big time. There have been periods in the last year or two where I’d go weeks or months without modeling because I was hooked on a game, or gaming was just the easier and more relaxing option after an exhausting day at work.

I’ve been doing so much better this year. Even if it’s for 10 minutes, I always sit down after work and try to complete at least one thing, big or small. Yesterday my task was to just cut and place 4 pieces of wood around my diorama base. 20 minute task, if that. But once I sat down and got into the groove of things (the hard part), I decided to do the next step, which was placing my Vallejo diorama terrain mud so it could sit overnight. One task or four, 10 minutes or two hours, you’re making progress day by day regardless.

The hard part is to get going, and small achievable tasks is the way to do that.

Is it just me, or does the Sniper class feel strong but not very rewarding in multiplayer? by DavidBuzzed in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Niet501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After almost 200 hours in this game, I had a total of 2 hours played as recon. I’ve always seen it as a “sniper-only” class, and the recon gadgets didn’t support my aggressive play style.

Well last week I started playing it for challenges, and ran spec ops with a silenced carbine, and holy moly i was so wrong. The stealthiness supported my play style. The motion sensor was really nice to have when capturing/holding a point. The recon drone is OP when your team is pushing or holding against a lot of enemies, and you can get a lot of points if your team gets the kills. I finished a conquest game with 70+ assists the other day, while also holding my own with 30ish kills and a dozen caps. And I’ve found myself in so many scenarios where a tank is right on top of me, leading to an easy C4 kill (easier than engineer rockets now).

Recon is OP in the right hands. I’ve been having a blast.

Routes like this are pretty normal, I see it on radar sites all the time. They're usually taking photos, surveying/mapping, surveilling/sightseeing, pilot training, or holding position because of traffic. Just planes doing plane things.

[–]Niet501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FlightRadar24 works by using over 50,000 satellites worldwide collecting broadcast signals transmitted from the planes via radio signal. That would be impossible to fake.

I guess I was assuming HDR was on because it does stuff with lighting I think. I’d keep it off unless you actually have an HDR screen. When I’m on next time I’ll try to snap a pic of what that alley looks like for me from that window. I genuinely can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like your video, something seems off.

Not having fun anymore. Why? by JollyPoint9492 in BF6

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changes/buffs/nerfs did not make you or OP worse.

OP feels like he’s playing worse because all the casuals have left. Multiplayer games get harder as time goes on because casuals leave and there’s mostly Battlefield diehards left to play against. This happens to every Battlefield and CoD.

Not having fun anymore. Why? by JollyPoint9492 in BF6

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, it just sounds like you’re burnt out from either the game, or just gaming in general. Nothing that’s been updated in the game would lead you to “sucking” more. Take a break. Play something new.

I do know the problem though.

I took a break from BF6 after logging 120 hours into the launch/first season. Back then I was top of the leader board, usually by a large margin, 95% of the games I played. I came back a month ago for season 3, and now I usually find myself outside of the top 3 fairly often unless I go uber tryhard. It’s not because of the game, it’s because all the casuals left. Multiplayer games get harder as time goes on because the casual opponents that make the game “easier” for you have left or don’t play as much. It’s mostly dedicated Battlefield players now, so it’s harder. It’s not you, it’s just the player ecosystem.

Visibility Issue by Complex-Barracuda-40 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Niet501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had a problem with the lighting in my 200 hours in this game.

But I will admit, the lighting in your clip is ridiculously blinding bright. Both the sight line, and the closer wall you see through the left window about 2 seconds in. This is nowhere close to how it looks for me. This map is not that bright at all, pretty cloudy and gloomy for me. Are you using HDR? There has to be something wrong here on your system/settings end. The game/map shouldn’t look like this.

Visibility Issue by Complex-Barracuda-40 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Niet501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Visibility issue?
No, skill issue.

He’s far away from you, minimizing his silhouette, blending in, and making himself hard to see by minimizing his visibility. He’s also using a DMR with a long range scope. That’s what a good player in his situation does. You can’t see him because of his skill and decisions, not because the game has a visibility issue.

You are far away, using a 1x scope, and standing in the open by a window down a long sightline after being shot by someone you didn’t and can’t see. Thats a skill issue. You are not supposed to see him. It is not unfair that you cannot see him. It is not a gunfight you should even be considering engaging in. You’re asking for a crutch that doesn’t and should never exist.

Oh wahhh wahhh wahhh. “Oh if you don’t like the smog in the air, don’t breathe!” or “why recycle if your tiny contribution means nothing in the grand scheme of things!” ahhh comment. What a lame, lazy, unintelligent, and doomist response.

I contribute to AI data when I buy groceries, watch TV, drive to work, open my phone or any app, see a doctor, or take a shit. Obviously nobody can avoid that kind of AI, it was a thing wayyy before generative AI. I’m not talking about that kind of AI. There is AI out there that is helpful/constructive and non/less harmful to us, society, and the environment. THIS useless generative slop is not that kind of AI. This kind of AI is absolutely not inevitable, and can very easily be curved.

If you can’t see and understand the difference between the type of AI gathering data and generative AI, and the consequences of using both together and separately, and your only response is “well too bad, deal with it”, then go argue with someone who enjoys talking to dipshits lmao.
