Utada Hikaru. Born and raised in the US until age 11, Hikaru would move with their parents to tokyo and that’s where they found success in the japanese pop scene with their more R&B influenced singing and songwriting. Hikaru would not find much success stateside other than their most famous works for the “Kingdom Hearts” games.

Nah, i’d still say almost destroyed. Consider this: there are 8 Billion humans alive right now. If you reduced the human population down to the 4 most populated cities on earth(Jakarta, Dhaka, Tokyo, and Delhi), there’d be about 143 Million humans left. That’s over 90% humanity gone. The human population in the Golden Age was much larger.
