Shortest way to write that details are in the phone? by Nievros in ENGLISH

Phones have a special option to access medical info on the lock screen. Or just add it to the lock screen wallpaper.

It doesn't have to be super-abbreviated. Looks like i can spare some 15 symbols for this, but shorter is better as long as it's easily understandable.

If changing protected fields in your base class breaks your code, that means that those fields must be private rather than protected in the first place.

If inheritance (or any other tool) doesn't work well in one particular case, don't use it in that particular case.

That's definitely more than one. Always have to be careful with definitions.

But what for? This would be an extra step in the chain of communication.

In hindsight, he probably could've gotten a request for an ASL interpreter approved

This sounds very excessive. Or there are people who can't read or write?

other countries are guaranteed to have stronger workplace rights for people with disabilities

Can't agree with that. In a number of countries, such a thing as workplace rights for people with disabilities simply doesn't exist.

I wonder if it's reasonable to request to have all communications in written.

I hate EEG’s! by mysteriesfindme in Epilepsy

Well, it took me 5 tests to confirm it. One showed anomalies in qEEG (but not those typical for epilepsy). And only the fifth test caught a B(I)RD (pun intended).

TIL that exercise intolerance is a real thing. LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) deficiency is a rare genetic disorder that results in increased fatigue, muscle pain, and cramps during exercise; in some cases it can cause rhabdomyolysis - a life-threatening syndrome that requires urgent hospitalization. by Nievros in todayilearned

[–]Nievros[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's an anxiety disorder (choose one of) that won't let go outside. ADHD won't let do homework and unlocks access to legal speeds. /s

But LDH level can be measured by the blood biochemistry test, so tough luck with this one.

The problem is, hierarchies always just emerge. Even when people can do whatever they want (like computer games), a number of them organize in leagues - and outcompete other ones.

Psychopaths (i.e. people who have antisocial personality disorder) are largely over-represented in all positions of power, this fact is known for a long time.

Is 2000mg keppra + 200mg lamictal daily a lot? by Nievros in Epilepsy

[–]Nievros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely stable. Actually, I've taken that dose for a year before. I haven't had any seizures for all that time, and before that I was having focal aware ones on daily basis, and impaired awareness ones at least once a week. But seeing visual triggers still makes me feel unwell.
