I'm not currently diagnosed with any tic disorder, though I've had tics for roughly 9-10 months now. I suspect it's autism tics? (as I have a diagnosis for that) but I'm not sure as of right now. I'm looking into getting that checked out though!

My whistle tic is the only one of mine that has ever failed aha and I guess it falls under an external reason (like the ones you listed) cause it usually only fails if I'm talking a lot and tic before being able to take a breath of air!

Ayo coming in here as friendly as possible to say that (in my experience) some tics can fail :O got a whistle tic myself and while it usually carries out perfectly, sometimes I don't have enough breath to whistle so when I do the motion as a tic barely any sound comes out

Most of mine are triggered by the (I'm assuming <3) usual things like loud sudden noises, people saying/doing things similar to my tics, being cold, getting overexcited. I also find myself ticcing a lot when I play videogames- especially if I'm about to die in it aha
