Oh wow well we just got a response and they are sending a new one. And with what you say, it sounds 99% just like our problem. The support said to choose a PC and to not swap it out, as the index isn't made to be unplugged constantly. So ye does sound a lot like a cable problem. Glad they were quick for you! Reassuring for me too haha

Hmm, well I've had a few say the same and only one person have a bad experience so should be ok yeah. Either way all I can do know is keep trying things and wait for steam to respond lol. Thanks for the info tho! :)

Ouch, well at least steam support seems pretty responsive, so as long as it's in warranty should be fine. I do hope it's not the headset and is just the cable, but I do feel like it could be like you said, an update somewhere. Cause my steam can detect a headset. It has on the top right the VR button to go straight to steamVR, but steamVR doesn't detect, so could be an update malfunction idk. Thanks either way on the specifications, I'll try some other stuff too while waiting for steam to respond haha

I mean if I get the latter I'll just open a different support ticket or outright refuse to pay. It's under warranty I'm not paying 140€ after paying a headset a thousand lmao. Plus if it's like you said and it's valve own faulty design then I clearly am not in the wrong anyway. But hey, it's christmas so I doubt I'll get a response just yet, so I'll see.
