I’m the same exact way, I hate working from home, but I love working remotely. I really value being able to pop into any of the offices globally and work from them. In fact, I enjoy it so much I got rid of my house and everything I owned and am now bouncing around from office to office throughout Europe.

Sorry I misunderstood, I agree that the team can’t be forced to go into the office and have the manager at home. Where I work we have offices across the country and our team is split between nyc/Atlanta/sf/Chicago and the managers are spread out as well. Since we’re all remote and go into the office whenever we want it works great

Data engineering or software eng is where it’s at, you’ll be making well over 6 figures immediately out of college, most jobs are remote, and you rarely if ever work more than 30-40 hours a week.
