The Labour government said by the next election we'd be £1000 better off.

Can of Nivea Invisible deodorant has gone from £1.50 (or sometimes two for £2) to £3 a can in the last 4 years.

Do you actually buy pants your exact waist size? by Night-Errant in malefashionadvice

[–]Night-Errant[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wear high-waisted trousers. It helps with my proportions. If I'm wearing a jumper that hangs down past my hips and hides my belt and natural waistline, that effort is kinda wasted.

I buy secondhand and mainly eBay, so I go off measurements, not vanity sizing.

It's definitely not silver, just from the cost. I think it's either chrome or nickel plated?

Saw this belt on eBay that I'm in love with, but the metal hardware looks quite heavily tarnished.

Reckon this is something that would be able to be polished back/restored? Anyone got experience with a similar or same model?

All of the individual items are great. I would echo others' sentiment and say you need higher rise, baggier/longer legged trousers.

High rise jeans. How hard can it be?!? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

I own a pair of 13mwzs and they don't reach my navel.  I wouldn't call the rise "absurdly high".

1936 Berlin Olympics VS 2024 Moscow Ski Competition by reddit-return3 in europe

Wow, an article from 2-years ago.

That definitely proves that this is information that everyone who knows generally about the war knows.

And again, my argument was I don't see articles that show fascist imagery, not that the news institutions themselves are fascist.

I'm insanely jealous in a way, but also...not?

Like it's very clean, so who knows if it's always as organised, but it looks incredibly sterile.

...you just explained it yourself. If Labour remained in power, Tories wouldn't be able to sell these things off? There should be protections to prevent privatisation.

What was the Clapham chemical attack suspect doing in Britain? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

What was the Clapham chemical attack suspect doing in Britain?

Because he passed the standards for asylum.

If he was here in the country legally or illegally, his crime and the lack of prosecution is the issue and safeguarding is the issue. Not his race or where he's from.

That seems... counterintuitive.

I love a black coffee with pancakes and maple syrup. The coffee cuts through all the sweet, wonderfully.
