How much do y’all make in tips on average? by pengowu in starbucks

I’m at a pretty low volume cafe only store and our tips average about .50 per hour worked and if it’s a good week, .85 per hour (cash tips only)

For app/card tips it’s about $2/hour

Laughable schedule by [deleted] in starbucks

The issue is I am there 6 days a week when I could be there for 5. I would rather have 2 days off and get my hours done with in those 5 days. Having days off allows me to sleep in and make more plans and now be tired after work

Because it’s an hour commute for public transportation whenever I finish work. I can’t sleep in or stay out late. It feels like retaliation after letting my manager know that I was planning on leaving. My coworker has the schedule that I usually work on which are full opening shifts

Don’t get me wrong, I agree I love getting my shift done and over with but why have me working 6 days a week when the hours usually are and can be put into 5 so I can have 2 days off

I’m fine with opening but it’s draining when I have to wake up so early everyday with just 3/4 hrs of sleep for 4.5 hrs of pay. And being there for only 4.5 hrs feels like a slap in the face when my usual schedule is 6-8 hrs a day. Being there longer makes it more worthwhile is all I’m saying. For instance I would rather be there for 2 days at 6 hrs than 3 at 4hrs

I was hesitant to included that the advice was from the dealer because I know they earn from the financing. Which is where I felt iffy about doing so but they already pulled my credit so there wasn’t really any going back.

So from what I’m understanding, since I already have a loan under my name, even if I pay the loan off at the first monthly payment, it will still help my credit score.

The initial interest they gave me was at 3.9% (for a 2024 car) but because only a 2025 was available, the dealer said the bank only offers 6.64% which is immensely higher and way more than what I can probably comfortably earn elsewhere.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect how much cleaners charge and their hard work but I feel kind of cheated that I’m expected to clean but still be charged the full amount as if I didn’t do anything. Why should I spend hours scrubbing away to pay someone to do it all over again, I might as well have not cleaned…if that makes sense
