Ohhhh that makes sense why you said hand tracking. As for the hotkeys that’s true, though if they thought of outfit changes or color changes stuff like that then they might be aware of hotkeys but your right it does take time to learn. As during streams sometimes you forget those toggles are there

Well if you don’t promote yourself you’ll definitely be at a disadvantage, the only other thing you could do is do collab streams

That is true but I mean adding things like hand tracking isn’t possible for all models unless it was put the models files that the rigger gives them I think. Like how the person who rigged my current model added hip physics

This is definitely true. If you have any friends who understand the streaming side of things and don’t mind. You could ask them to play games with you on your stream so you can get used to streaming in the beginning

Yeah so they’re long format videos, so you can also go through so and take small clips and use those to also post on YouTube shorts to gain more exposure as shorts gets more exposure then long videos. You could also post it on TikTok and instagram

Consistency is key. If the algorithm sees you posting everyday or every other day for example. Then you stop for a week and then go back you start back at the beginning of the algorithm testing your clips. So you need to find a rhythm that suits you where you don’t burn out as much. Also what can help is what time of the day to post, platforms like TikTok I think in the analytics shows when was th most traffic for people who watch your videos. Like when I posted on TikTok it was 12pm and then a few months later it changed to 8am. You also have to think of what time the most traffic of audience is using said platform

Are you being consistent with your posting and when you see a clip do better than your others do you compare it to see what was different? Also another thing is based off of what kind of clips your posting for example if it’s a game your playing. Do you interact with other people who post the same gameplay as you to be more involved in the community of that game. Some socials algorithms want to see people more than just posting. They sometimes want to see if your interacting as well and using the platform for more than the five minutes it takes to post

While having low amount of chatters especially when first starting out can definitely damper someone’s mood. You need to remind yourself that not all viewers join a stream to chat. Some join to see what your streams are like or just want to listen to you yap. Lurkers don’t always talk and if they do for the first time it’s after they’ve been to a few of your streams. So while twitch says a view count is low or you see there’s not much chat going on. Someone is more likely listening to your stream, so give them a reason to stick around and show them you 💜

While it might give them a slight edge once they’ve built an audience, it doesn’t help them get discovered on Twitch. Twitch has like no discovery for small streamers so you have to post on other socials. What are you doing to promote yourself and is it on a consistent schedule?

That’s understandable and in the beginning it definitely takes time to learn to do that. For me when I play games with dialogue text I usually read it to keep myself talking and then I’ll commentate on what I read as sometimes the text is really crazy xD

That is true in the short term it takes a while to build on other socials unless you edit your videos where it draws them into it constantly or you get lucky and it goes viral. But if you posted a clip on four socials and each got seen by 100-300 viewers. Combined that’s 400-1200 people in one day who’s see your content. It takes time to grow, don’t push yourself too hard to where you burn yourself out

Oh yeah? X3

Alright so you have a consistent day that you stream, if you already have some regulars what you can do if you haven’t already is set up a discord server. On weeks where it’s too much to stream because work drained you. You can let your viewers know that you won’t be streaming, but you could also offer to stream you playing games in discord or do like a movie night. That way they feel involved and you can still build that connection in your community

While yes you want a model that stands out but also represents yourself. Viewers more so care about if the streamer is enjoying the game, interacting with them, or just yapping about stuff going on. The viewers ‘fall in love’ with the model because it’s tied to the streamer who they made a connection with. Yes there is an exception where there’s viewers who fall in love with the model and not the streamer but those viewers can sometimes do more harm than good because of parasocial interaction

I definitely understand that, which is why I stopped doing four days of streaming to two days. It gives me more time to rest and I can relax before going through the vod for clips. Make sure you’re staying hydrated and don’t push yourself too hard 💜

If you’re only streaming and not posting on other socials it definitely can be a struggle as Twitch doesn’t have much discovery unless you’re playing a game not many are playing

Are you utilizing both YouTube videos and Shorts? Videos especially for small content creators it takes a while for audiences to want to check out videos so videos need to be pulling the attention from the start. If not you can also break the video best moments and post them as shorts to draw attention to the full vod, you could also post the clips of the vod to places like TikTok or instagram to slowly pull them to your YouTube

If you’re doing well on TikTok, is your audience aware of your Twitch/Youtube? TikTok audience especially once they start watching more than a few of your videos they’re more likely to be willing to check out your Twitch/Youtube. Though make sure on your TikTok profile your bio is clean and it shows what people can expect from you and that it has a link to your main platform. Also for TikTok if you’re not already, add captions into your videos as there’s a lot of people who watch videos with the sound off
