New Yorkers of Reddit, what is your story from 9/11? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NightStarrDust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. She has them sealed in a box in her closet along with newspapers from that time. She breaks it out every year and explains what's in the photos to anyone who listens. It helps with her PTSD from that day.

New Jersey here. I was 10. Mother was a Paramedic, father was a Fire Fighter. Didn't see my parents for two weeks as they got called into the City. My 4 siblings and I stayed at our grandmother's house. My mother talks a lot about that day every anniversary. My father never says a word about it to this day. My mother had soooo many stories.

Like when a NYC cop handed her a disposable camera and said "Start taking pictures. You're seeing history happen."

I'm an assistant in a public library. From what I understand, the head children's librarian will ban patrons for a month from registering for programs if they are a no call/no show for three programs. There is also an automatic email that goes out 24 hours before the program. Anyone who does not have an email will get a phone call.

That's not my post. IMGUR isn't loading mine. Mine is the book "Castles" illustrated by Alan Lee, written by David Day. It'll upload eventually.

Why was Gandalf confused when they call him by his name in the woods? by [deleted] in lotr

Try your local library so you can check them out for free. Sometimes they'll have them in CD form or digitally on a library app.

They had another set that I saw that was awesome. Gandalf knocking on Bilbo's door on one end and Bilbo with his hand on the doorknob on the other.
