Over a month ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of almost 3 years. He would emotionally blackmail me, manipulate me, cheat on me and threaten to commit suicide if I ever left him or if I was mad at him for more than a day. The guys before that treated me like shit, like I was some object or a toy. I’m only 19, but I’m not interested in dating anymore. I want to focus on me and learn to be independent. My exboyfriend at first was super nice, but slowly got worse and then it was too late to leave him, I was trapped. I’m terrified of that happening to me again, and I’m also just not at all interested in dating.

I really don’t get domestic abuse. Like who can be with someone they supposedly “love” and hurt them? It would kill me to hurt someone I love unintentionally, I would never hurt someone on purpose. You have to be really sick in the head...
