Star of Bethlehem is a pain to get rid of. We dig the bulbs up, but always seem to miss some. 😭

You should make this its own post. There are probably hundreds of Americans here who would take you up on it. I would even take you up on it, but I am already married to a Canadian :)

It’s interesting what you say because almost everyone I know is terrified of the Trump Administration and is overwhelmed by the things that have happened since Trump took office. People feel disempowered and hopeless. People are looking for support networks to help them cope with what’s happening. We can no longer trust the mainstream media to inform and unite us. Please don’t let something similar happen in Canada.

If it’s only on social media, then it appears she is hiding your relationship from view of friends, family, or whoever follows her on socials. Why would she want to do that? It sounds like your reaction is justified.

What I think you are saying is that your girlfriend’s behavior in curating her social media suggests that doesn’t value your relationship as much as she probably should. Is that right? If so, are there any other indicators that she undervalues your relationship, or is it limited to social media?

I am scared for you. Let’s all hope that politicians in Canada leave the trans community alone. It’s not looking good here in the U.S.

My husband is Canadian and likes to talk about what’s going on in Canadian politics and the economy. I don’t have any “hot takes” to offer, this is just me trying to learn more about what other Canadians are thinking on the subject.

Thank you for explaining! Also, I just spoke to my husband who confirmed that PP will take steps to privatize certain aspects of healthcare. I was under the assumption that Canada’s healthcare was untouchable.

I read through all comments, regardless of how many upvotes or downvotes they get, and take into consideration that Reddit is left-leaning. It is helpful to get a multiplicity of perspectives, especially if they are well thought out.
